Impress your co-workers at the water cooler.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Featured Restaurant News<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Got word this week from <strong>Jennifer Noble Kelly<\/strong> that <strong>Picnic\u2019s Wyatt Dickson<\/strong> will be opening his second bbq restaurant &#8211; <strong>Wyatt\u2019s Whole Hog Barbecue<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 in Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Gateway Plaza<\/strong> at 2431 Crabtree Blvd near downtown. The concept will be bringing the wood-smoked pastured pig pickin\u2019 style of whole hog barbecue. In 2016 <strong>Dickson<\/strong> opened <strong>Picnic<\/strong> in Durham with partners <strong>Ben Adams<\/strong> and <strong>Ryan Butle<\/strong>r. Look for <strong>Wyratt\u2019s<\/strong> to open in the fall of 2020. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" hef=\"https:\/\/www.wyattsbarbecuenc.com\/\">Follow their progress on their website here<\/a>. <\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The team over at<strong> Trophy Brewing<\/strong> opened into their expanded space this week over on Morgan Street &#8211; announcing that they had brought fermentation back to Morgan Street, expanded and improved their outdoor patio space, and added new menu items.&nbsp; As they \u201cslide\u201d into their new space, they will begin renovations of the \u201cold\u201d space on Morgan Street to match the design of the expansion, which should be completed sometime early next year. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" hef=\"https:\/\/www.trophybrewing.com\/\">Keep up with all of Trophy&#8217;s success here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported that the owners of <strong>Acme Food &amp; Beverage Co.<\/strong> in Carrboro and <strong>Tin Roof Brewery<\/strong> of Baton Rouge, Louisiana will open a joint venture &#8211; a new brewery and neighborhood restaurant located at 5401 North, a traditional neighborhood development in Northeast Raleigh. The new concept, named <strong>Heyday Brewing<\/strong>, will be located in <strong>5401 North\u2019s<\/strong> new <strong>City Farm<\/strong>, now under construction. The space will feature a unique collaboration with <strong>Wake Tech Community College<\/strong> by providing students in <strong>Wake Tech\u2019s<\/strong> craft beer classes access to commercial brewing equipment, classroom and lab space. The restaurant will also serve produce grown in <strong>5401 North\u2019s Purple Martin Community Farm<\/strong>. Plans are to open the property in summer 2020. We couldn\u2019t find an online presence.<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Rosewater Kitchen &amp; Bar<\/strong> in Raleigh\u2019s <strong>North Hills<\/strong> will begin brunch service this weekend and will be served both Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. <strong>Rosewater<\/strong> is the latest concept from the <strong>Giorgio\u2019s Hospitality &amp; LIfestyle Group<\/strong> and opened at the end of last month in the former <strong>Bruegger\u2019s<\/strong> spot. If you haven\u2019t already, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" hef=\"https:\/\/rosewaterraleigh.com\/\">check them out here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Saw on their Facebook page this week that the newest location of <strong>BREW Coffee Bar<\/strong> is now open in the <strong>McNeil Pointe<\/strong> development at the intersection of McNeil Street and Wake Forest Road (across from <strong>Mami Nora\u2019s<\/strong>). <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" hef=\"http:\/\/www.brewcoffeebar.co\/\" target=\"_blank\">Visit them here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The folks over at <strong>NC Triangle Dining<\/strong> posted on social media that the <strong>Cha House<\/strong>, an Asian-inspired tea house influenced by the tastes and traditions of Taiwan, is now open open at the <strong>Stanhope Apartments<\/strong> at 3001 Hillsborough Street. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" hef=\"https:\/\/www.chahouseusa.com\/\">Check them out here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Got an update this week from <strong>Cherith Andes<\/strong> on some news we initially shared with you back in July. Australian-based <strong>Zambero<\/strong>, a Mexican restaurant concept that also donates a meal to someone in need from disadvantaged communities across Africa, Asia and the Americas, will open in <strong>January, 2020<\/strong> and will be located in <strong>One Glenwood<\/strong>. This will be just their second location in the United States. And more good news, the next two US location will be in Durham and Cary (<strong>University Hill<\/strong> in Durham and <strong>Parkside Town Commons<\/strong> in Cary). Tell me the Triangle ain\u2019t where it\u2019s at!?! <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" hrf=\"https:\/\/www.zambrero.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Keep up with them here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Over on Raleigh\u2019s Hillsborough Street, reader <strong>Tyler Glover<\/strong> shared that a &#8220;Coming Soon&#8221; sign for <strong>Crafty Crab Seafood<\/strong> went up this week at the old <strong>Applebee&#8217;s<\/strong> location. Looks to be part of a chain out of Florida and they currently have just one North Carolina location, in Charlotte. No word on an open date. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" ef=\"https:\/\/www.craftycrabrestaurant.com\/\">Start to get familiar with them here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Up in North Raleigh, got a tweet from <strong>\u201cGavin\u201d<\/strong> that <strong>Papaya Chicken &amp; Grill<\/strong> in <strong>Bent Tree Plaza<\/strong> at 7909 Falls of Neuse Road is changing things up. Not sure if this is a new concept or a re-concept, but there is a \u201ccoming soon\u201d sign in the window for <strong>El Rincon Peruano Restaurant Fusion<\/strong>. Stay tuned<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>And down in Zebulon, got word from <strong>Randy Wester<\/strong> of <strong>Wester Auctions<\/strong> that <strong>Smithfield Chicken and BBQ<\/strong> will be demolishing their Zebulon location within the next 2-3 weeks to make room for their new and improved building. We had a possible \u201ccoming soon\u201d with a <strong>\u201cWell\u201d<\/strong> sign hanging in front of the former <strong>Carolina Ale House<\/strong> on Chapel Hill\u2019s West Franklin Street. Bad news is it isn\u2019t a restaurant. Good news is it is a 400-employee Healthcare IT company. Nice boost for the eateries on that end of Franklin!<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Down in Carrboro, I got word of <strong>Tyler\u2019s<\/strong> being closed. Turns out it is just temporarily&#8230; thankfully. Sign on the door reads, \u201cThe restaurant side is closed temporarily for some much needed renovations.
