No word yet on an open date (they&#8217;ll announce that on Monday). Wilmington St. They were originally looking to open this past Wednesday, but are now looking at early next week. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/clydecoopersbbq\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Keep up with their progress and see pictures on their Facebook page here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And speaking of barbecue, the <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Red Hot &amp; Blue<\/strong> will open a second Triangle area location in the <strong>Waverly Place shopping center<\/strong> in Cary, near <strong>Barberito&#8217;s<\/strong>. No opening date has been set yet. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.redhotandblue.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word via Twitter from <strong>Joseph Wells<\/strong> that<strong> Mami Nora&#8217;s<\/strong> in Morrisville is shooting for a <strong>June 1st<\/strong> opening. This location will be in the old <strong>Bear Rock Cafe<\/strong> spot at the corner of Cary Parkway and Chapel Hill Road. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/maminoras.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Thanks to the observant eyes of <strong>John Huisman<\/strong> (aka <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/triangleexplorer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Triangle Explorer<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>) he saw a &#8220;Coming Soon&#8221; sign for a <strong>Quail Corners Creamery<\/strong> in the <strong>Quail Corners Shopping Center<\/strong> in Raleigh next to <strong>The Meat House<\/strong>. No other details are available at this point, but we&#8217;ll ask <strong>John<\/strong> to keep an eye on it for us. Thanks John!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Tomorrow (<strong>April 12th<\/strong>) <strong>City Barbecue<\/strong> in Cary will hold their grand opening at1305 Kildaire Farm Road. This is the first North Carolina location for the Ohio-based chain. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.citybbq.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Get more details here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word from a <strong>Yelp<\/strong> message board that the former <strong>618 Bistro<\/strong> on Lake Boone Trail in Raleigh (which was sold to new owners on March 15th) will reopen as <strong>The Oak<\/strong> on <strong>April 18th<\/strong>. No other details are available at this point.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also got word from the same <strong>Yelp<\/strong> message board that <strong>Maui Wowi Hawaiian<\/strong>, a coffee and smoothie chain, will be opening where<strong> Java Jive<\/strong> used to be on Harrison Avenue in Cary. It&#8217;s apparently a surf themed franchise specializing in gourmet Hawaiian coffees and healthy fruit smoothies. Not sure of an opening date, but <strong>Diane<\/strong> reports that they have their sign up. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mauiwowi.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Get a sneak peek at them here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And one last <strong>Yelp<\/strong> message board note this week, <strong>Calavera Empanada and Tequila Bar<\/strong> on Blount Street in downtown Raleigh, has simplified their name to <strong>CalaVela<\/strong>. Next up will be the launching of their patio beer garden.
