Which is why I was so excited to learn from <strong>Carrie Brogren<\/strong> from the Chapel Hill Carrboro Facebook Foodies group that the <strong>Flying Biscuit Cafe<\/strong> will soon take up space in Chapel Hill&#8217;s <strong>University Place<\/strong>, looks like between <strong>Hawkers <\/strong>and <strong>Bartaco<\/strong>. Look for them to open in the spring of 2021. Until then, <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/flyingbiscuit.com\/locations-2\/raleigh\/\" target=\"_blank\">check them out<\/a><\/strong> in Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Cameron Village<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tired of turkey? Well, the folks over at <strong>Chubby&#8217;s Tacos<\/strong> (3 locations in the Triangle) just released their <strong>Family Pack<\/strong> that feeds 4 people a <strong>Taco Fiesta<\/strong> for just $26.99. Take a quick break from turkey today while you are out shopping (locations in Raleigh, Wake Forest and Durham) and enjoy a <strong>Taco Fiesta<\/strong>. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/chubbystacos.getbento.com\/online-ordering\/chubbystacos-raleigh\/menu\" target=\"_blank\">Details at their website here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Looking for all the outdoor dining options in Downtown Raleigh? The <strong>Downtown Raleigh Alliance<\/strong> has put together a great list of those options, and they even divided it up by district. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.downtownraleigh.org\/post\/where-to-drink-and-dine-outdoors-in-downtown-raleigh\"><strong>Check out that list here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>WRAL<\/strong> shared the news that the folks over at <strong>Glass Jug Beer Lab<\/strong> will open a second taproom &#8211; it will be located in the new <strong>Foster on the Park<\/strong> development adjacent to <strong>Durham Central Park<\/strong> at 545 Foster Street. The new taproom will <em>not<\/em> have a full retail bottle shop, but will instead offer more seating in a taproom setting. They have an anticipated opening in the early spring of 2021. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.glass-jug.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get to know Glass Jug here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Excited to share that <strong>Yung Nay<\/strong>&#8216;s latest concept, <strong>Iza Whiskey &amp; Eats<\/strong>, is now open (and they have their liquor license!). You&#8217;ll recognize <strong>Yung<\/strong> from Chapel Hill&#8217;s <strong>Fusion Fish<\/strong> and his catering company. <strong>Iza<\/strong> brings us a Japanese-style izakaya that serves small plates, sushi and ramen along with whiskey- and sake-infused cocktails. It is in Carrboro at 307 E. Main St., Carrboro where <strong>Tom + Chee <\/strong>and <strong>One Fish Two Fish<\/strong> were. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.izaeats.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check it out here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Leslie at Taste Carolina sent me word that a concept called <strong>Applewood Bar-B-Que Deli<\/strong> is coming (may already be open, I can&#8217;t tell) to Durham in the <strong>Shiloh Crossing Shopping Center<\/strong> near the intersection of 54 and 540 (next to the WalMart Super Center). Looks like their first location and they specialize in smoked meats &#8211; pulled pork, barbecue chicken, turkey, beef brisket and sausage. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/applewoodbbqdeli.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get to know them here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>And here are a couple of wonderful resources for those looking to dine in downtown Durham or downtown Chapel Hill \u2013 <strong>Downtown Durham Inc. <\/strong>has an up-to-date listing of the status of each restaurant in downtown Durham. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/downtowndurham.com\/curbside\/\">Check out the list here<\/a><\/strong>. Now more than ever!!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Food Trucks&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Triangle on the Cheap<\/strong> shared the news that <strong>Food Truck Flix<\/strong> is a recurring event that combines drive-in movies with food trucks, for a safer entertainment experience just announced their schedule for the upcoming weekends (Friday and Saturday nights).\u00a0The events will be taking place at <strong>Frontier RTP<\/strong>, 800 Park Offices, Durham, and at Focus Church, 7000 Destiny Drive, Raleigh. You can purchase tickets in advance for any of the drive-in movies. The price is $25 per car. Of course, you\u2019ll also want to bring money for the food trucks.
