And if you feel so compelled, throw a little love to the staff and employees who have been so negatively impacted by the pandemic by tipping generously!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Blogger <strong>Eat Raleigh<\/strong> shared the news that a new restaurant called <strong>Berto\u2019s Chimis<\/strong> opens today (<strong>Friday, Jan. 1<\/strong>) at 414 Dupont Circle. The Dominican burger joint is the dream of <strong>Roberto Diaz<\/strong> and will offer sandwiches with seasoned beef patties or marinated chicken breasts and sides include tostones, maduras, and yucca fries. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bertoschimis.com\/\">Get to know them here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reader <strong>Burke Williams<\/strong> shared with us that <strong>Thaiphoon Bistro<\/strong> has opened in the <strong>Stonehenge Market<\/strong> shopping center at 7496 Creedmoor Road, operating a takeout version of their downtown restaurant, in the space formerly occupied by <strong>888 Chinese<\/strong>. The downtown location is at 301 Glenwood Avenue. Visit their new location today! <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thaiphoonbistroraleigh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Also in Raleigh, <strong>Michael DePersia<\/strong> of <strong>DePersia &amp; Associates<\/strong> notifed me that a new location of <strong>Brixx Wood Fired Pizza<\/strong> opened on December 16th at 1540 Dunn Road in the <strong>Bedford Village<\/strong> development. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/brixxpizza.com\/locations\/raleigh-bedford-village\/\" target=\"_blank\">Visit them here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Down in Fuquay-Varina, <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/todayinthequay\/\" target=\"_blank\">Today in the Quay<\/a><\/strong> reported that the owners of the <strong>Cleveland Draft House<\/strong> will open a third location in the old <strong>Golden Corral<\/strong> building (by <strong>Smithfield\u2019s\/Moes<\/strong> and the railroad tracks, behind Sherwin Williams). Look for them to open in mid-May. They already have locations in Cleveland and Garner. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/clevelanddrafthouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Visit Cleveland Draft House here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>And staying in &#8220;the quay&#8221; &#8211; <strong>Johnny&#8217;s Pizza<\/strong> has successfully opened their 4th Triangle location &#8211; this one at 722 N. Judd Parkway. This one joins the other locations in Apex, Cary and Wake Forest. Looks like they&#8217;ll be offering up burgers, grilled and fried chicken, burritos and tacos &#8211; everything a college kid might want\/crave! And the <strong>Downtown Chapel Hill Partnership<\/strong> has put together <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/downtownchapelhill.com\/whats-open\/?active-tab=bars-restaurants\">a similar list for Chapel Hill here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Closings \/ Cancellations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The folks over at<strong> Raleigh Convergence<\/strong> shared the news that <strong>Little Shop,<\/strong> from <strong>Anisette<\/strong>, <strong>Lousy Hunters Doughnuts<\/strong> and <strong>Sustain Market<\/strong>, will be closing for good at the end of their lease on January 10. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CJTw6WenisE\/\" target=\"_blank\">See the announcement here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Cameron Village&#8217;s so\u2022ca restaurant<\/strong> has joined their sister restaurant, <strong>k\u014d\u2022\u00e4n<\/strong> in closing &#8211; but just temporarily.
