They are open for dine-in and take-out. This location joins his other locations in Durham, Chatham County and Holly Springs. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.townhallburgerandbeer.com\/raleigh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Get to know THB&amp;B here<\/a><\/strong>. Thanks to <strong>Michael DePersia<\/strong> with <strong>DePersia &amp; Associates<\/strong> for the tip. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Got word from <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ItsJustRaleigh\" target=\"_blank\">It&#8217;s Just Raleigh<\/a><\/strong> that <strong>Sushi Mon<\/strong>, which was on Hillsborough Street, will find a new home at 3700 Glenwood Avenue in the former <strong>Som&#8217;s Cafe<\/strong> spot. According to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/raleighconvergence.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Raleigh Convergence<\/a><\/strong>, this is a temporary spot until they finally reside across the street in the new Brasfield &amp; Gorrie building at 3800 Glenwood Avenue. No word on an official open date, but the sushi and Japanese small plate restaurant hopes to be open this month. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sushimon_raleigh\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stay in touch with them here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/raltoday.6amcity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">RalToday<\/a><\/strong> shared the news that <strong>Mon Macaron <\/strong>will be moving into <strong>Seaboard Station<\/strong> in the former <strong>Papa Shogun<\/strong> space at 111 Seaboard Avenue and is looking to open<strong> <\/strong>in the Spring of 2021. The cafe sells<strong> <\/strong>gluten-free French macarons<strong> <\/strong>in 20+ different flavors. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.monmacaron.us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get to know them here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Over in <strong>Cameron Village<\/strong> we learned that the <strong>Noodles &amp; Company <\/strong>closure is only temporary. A sign on the door indicates they are NOT closed, just &#8220;simmering.&#8221; A second sign indicates they will reopen soon, but no date nor timeline has been provided. I&#8217;m certain my buddy <strong>Gordon Brown<\/strong> will be the first to let me know when they reopen. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Dave&#8217;s Hot Chicken<\/strong> is heading east, and specifically North Carolina, where it will open 10 locations from the Triangle to the coast. These will be the first locations on the East coast. No exact locations have been announced, nor timeline so stay tuned. But take the time now to learn about the Nashville hot chicken concept that started in southern California. They specialize in hot chicken tenders and sliders, with spice levels ranging from \u201cNo Spice\u201d to \u201cReaper.&#8221; Each restaurant also serves sides of house-made kale slaw, creamy mac &amp; cheese and crispy fries or Cheese Fries. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.daveshotchicken.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get familiar with them here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>There is a new brewery in Raleigh, at least virtually\/online. Got word that <strong>Altered State Brewing Company<\/strong>, which focuses on heavily fruited sours, juicy IPAs and pastry stouts is currently just releasing 4-5 beers once a month (no tap room). Their next release will go on sale (online) on Friday, January 22. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/alteredstatebrewing\/\" target=\"_blank\">Follow them on Instagram here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Looking for all the outdoor dining options in Downtown Raleigh? The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>The Loop<\/strong>, which is opening a third Triangle-area location in the former <strong>DeeLuxe Chicken<\/strong> on Broad Street in Durham, will open this month! They also have locations on Duke\u2019s campus (Bryan Center) and in Chapel Hill\u2019s <strong>Eastgate Crossing<\/strong> shopping center. They are known for their salads, pizzas, burgers and shakes. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thelooprestaurant.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get ready for them here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>And here are a couple of wonderful resources for those looking to dine in downtown Durham or downtown Chapel Hill \u2013 <strong>Downtown Durham Inc. <\/strong>has an up-to-date listing of the status of each restaurant in downtown Durham. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/downtowndurham.com\/curbside\/\">Check out the list here<\/a><\/strong>. And the <strong>Downtown Chapel Hill Partnership<\/strong> has put together <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/downtownchapelhill.com\/whats-open\/?active-tab=bars-restaurants\">a similar list for Chapel Hill here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Closings \/ Cancellations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>WRAL<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/raltoday.6amcity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a><\/strong>shared the news this week that <strong>Mia Franseca<\/strong> in <strong>North Hills <\/strong>permanently closed its doors last week. The Italian restaurant opened up beside the Renaissance hotel in October 2011.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reader <strong>Christine Johnson<\/strong> shared the news that <strong>Bruegger\u2019s Bagels<\/strong> in Apex has closed.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported that after seven years in business on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh, <strong>Coglin&#8217;s Raleigh<\/strong>, the popular 80s themed bar<strong>,<\/strong> has closed its doors. Despite the closure, the owners plan to one day reopen in a new location.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Food Trucks&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Here are a &nbsp;couple of sites to find and stalk your favorite food trucks <a href=\"https:\/\/roaminghunger.com\/food-trucks\/nc\/raleigh-durham\/\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/streetfoodfinder.com\/c\/NC\/Raleigh\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Events<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Simply eating out has become a bit of an event. The creativity, caution and care our restaurants have taken (and added expenses!) is nothing short of impressive. One thing they are not short on is passion!
