After closing <strong>Pittsboro Roadhouse<\/strong>, he quickly turned his attention to opening his much-anticipated steakhouse,<strong> The Sycamore<\/strong>, in Pittsboro&#8217;s historic <strong>Chatham Mills<\/strong>. We got word this week that he is shooting for an April opening! <strong>Greg<\/strong> has also moved his catering operation, <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/39westcatering.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">39 West Catering<\/span><\/a><\/strong>, to <strong>Chatham Mills<\/strong> in a brand new kitchen space and is now operating an event space called <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foresthallatchathammills.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Events at Forest Hall<\/span><\/a><\/strong> adjacent to <strong>The Sycamore<\/strong>. Keep up with <strong>Greg<\/strong> (if you can) on the <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/thesycamoreatchathammills.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">The Sycamore website here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Iron Oaks Taproom<\/strong> will join <strong>Sushi Mon<\/strong> (which we reported back in January &#8211; they have opened in a temporary location adjacent to the new location) at <strong>Glenwood Place<\/strong> just inside the beltline on Glenwood Avenue later this year. Craft beer, wine, cocktails and tapas are on the menu along with golf simulators. Congrats to <strong>Stuart Pannill<\/strong> and <strong>Andreas Handrinos<\/strong> on their venture. We could not find an online presence for them yet. Stay tuned. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Saw on<strong> Raleigh Convergence <\/strong>that <strong>Raleigh Cheesy<\/strong>, known for their custom charcuterie boards, is opening a store front today, <strong>February 12<\/strong> at 1460 Chapel Ridge Road in Apex. Opening weekend schedule is as follows: Friday 12-7 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday &#8211;  10 a.m. -12 noon with brunch and regular boxes from 3 &#8211; 8 p.m. Get by and enjoy your grab-and-go boxes! <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.raleighcheesy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">All the details here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>On a recent visit to <strong>Tranfer Co. Food Hall<\/strong>, I noticed that <strong>Burial Beer<\/strong> is expanding into new space on the corner with a bottle shop they are calling <strong>The Exhibit Bottle Shop<\/strong>. They will open on <strong>March 13th<\/strong>. They noted that they will be getting a full facelift with new murals, more seating, new two tops, twice the number of existing taps and a bevy of updates. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/burialbeer\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Keep up with their progress on Instagram here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Also in downtown Raleigh, <strong>Ashton Mae Smith<\/strong> noted in her weekly <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/tinyletter.com\/raleighovereasy\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">newsletter<\/span><\/a><\/strong> that the <strong>Flying Mayan<\/strong>, where the Southwest meets the Southeast, has reopened at 319 Fayetteville Street. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/flyingmayan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit them here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Looking for all the outdoor dining options in Downtown Raleigh? The <strong>Downtown Raleigh Alliance<\/strong> has put together a great list of those options, and they even divided it up by district. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.downtownraleigh.org\/post\/where-to-drink-and-dine-outdoors-in-downtown-raleigh\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Check out that list here<\/span><\/strong><\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Got word this week that <strong>Chapel Hill Restaurant Group&#8217;s<\/strong> latest venture,  <strong>LuLuBangBang<\/strong>, is opening for indoor dining on <strong>February 23rd<\/strong> (you can order take-out now). <strong>LuLuBangBang&#8217;s<\/strong> offers pan-Asian street food and tiki drinks from chef\/partner <strong>William D\u2019Auvray<\/strong>, who previously opened the fried chicken spot <strong>Lula&#8217;s<\/strong>. It is located adjacent to <strong>CHRG&#8217;s Mez<\/strong> and <strong>Page Road Grill<\/strong> at 5418 Page Road. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lulubangbangnc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit their site here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Old East Tavern<\/strong> in Chapel Hill\u2019s <strong>East 54<\/strong> development opened for business yesterday. As you will recall, this is <strong>Bottle Rev Chapel Hill<\/strong>, the Chapel Hill location of the Raleigh-based bottle shop, is in the space left by <strong>Tobacco Road Sports Cafe<\/strong>. You will also recall that <strong>Josh Coburn<\/strong> will be the executive chef. <strong>Coburn<\/strong> recently worked as the executive chef of <strong>City Kitchen<\/strong>, Check out <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oldeasttavern.com\/\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">their new website here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Over in Durham, got word that the newest location of <strong>The Loop<\/strong> has opened at 1116 Broad Street (which was most recently home to <strong>DeeLuxe Chicken<\/strong> and before that, <strong>Watts Grocery<\/strong>). And the <strong>Downtown Chapel Hill Partnership<\/strong> has put together <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/downtownchapelhill.com\/whats-open\/?active-tab=bars-restaurants\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">a similar list for Chapel Hill here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Closings \/ Cancellations<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Leigh Watson<\/strong> shared the sad news that <strong>Remedy Diner<\/strong>, which relocated from Hargett St. to Morgan St. in 2017, has closed their doors. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Got word from <strong>Melissa<\/strong> and <strong>Alvin Cotto<\/strong> that they are closing their catering operation, <strong>We Cook For You<\/strong>, at the end of this month. However, they will continue to operate their chocolate fountain rental company, <strong>Raleigh Chocolate Fountains<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/raleighchocolatefountains.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">which you can find here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Savor Eatery in Bakery <\/strong>in downtown Chapel Hill announced via Facebook that this Sunday would be their last day in operation.
