After a weekend of VIP \/ invitation-only charity fundraisers\/meals,<strong> Cape Fear<\/strong> will open their second Raleigh location in the <strong>Village District<\/strong> adjacent to <strong>The Flying Biscuit Cafe<\/strong> in the former <strong>Cameron Bar <\/strong>location on <strong>Monday, April 19<\/strong>. Founded in Wilmington (which now boasts three locations), <strong>Cape Fear<\/strong> specializes in regional American seafood, signature dishes, hand cut fish, steaks and chicken along with freshly made desserts. Plan your week next week around getting out to their newest location &#8211; it is gorgeous, with plenty of outdoor dining space. Of course, you can always hit their North Raleigh location near the intersection of Spring Forest and Falls of the Neuse Road.<strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.capefearseafoodcompany.com\/village-district-raleigh\" target=\"_blank\"> <span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit them here<\/span><\/a><\/strong> for all the details or to make a reservation. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Some big names have announced re-opening plans, or have resumed operations &#8211; be sure to check with your social media channels for exact details. But some of those include: <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ac-restaurants.com\/pooles\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Poole&#8217;s Diner<\/span><\/a><\/strong> &#8211; starting this weekend, they\u2019ll resume dine-in service, reservations-only; <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/socaraleigh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">so\u2022ca<\/span><\/a><\/strong> in <strong>Village District<\/strong> re-opened this week; and <strong>Ken Yowell&#8217;s <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oakcitymeatball.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Oak City Meatball<\/span><\/a><\/strong> (which is currently doing take-out and delivery Wednesday-Saturday evenings) has hinted they will re-open around the first of May. And <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/locations.brioitalian.com\/us\/nc\/raleigh\/4325-glenwood-ave\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Brio<\/span><\/a><\/strong> at <strong>Crabtree<\/strong> has new owners, and has reopened. All very exciting! <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> shared the news this week that <strong>Giorgios Bakatsias<\/strong> will open a French chophouse, <strong>East End Bistrot<\/strong>, in the <strong>East End Market<\/strong> on Whitaker Mill Road between Wake Forest Road and Atlantic Avenue. The new restaurant will have a romantic bistro-style atmosphere with gardens and a menu featuring dishes like steak Diane, chateaubriand and duck and locally sourced ingredients from North Carolina as well as an extensive wine and champagne list. <strong>East End Bistrot<\/strong> will be the 12th restaurant that <strong>Giorgios Hospitality &amp; Lifestyle Group<\/strong> has opened in the Triangle. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.giorgiosgroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">You can visit all of Bakatsias&#8217; restaurants here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported this week that Raleigh-based bar <strong>Dram &amp; Draught<\/strong> is planning to expand with two new locations. The first will be likely this summer in the <strong>Chesterfield building<\/strong> in downtown Durham. The goal is to open that location when restrictions lift on indoor dining capacity. The second location will be in the <strong>Fenton devleopment<\/strong> in Cary. That location, which will feature a rooftop bar, will be in the same development as chef <strong>Scott Crawford\u2019s Crawford Brothers Steakhouse<\/strong> and chef <strong>Michael Lee\u2019s M Sushi<\/strong>. The original <strong>D&amp;D<\/strong> location is on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dramanddraught.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit Dram &amp; Draught here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>And according to a Facebook post by NC Triangle Dining is looks like we are about three weeks (possibly <strong>May 5<\/strong>) from the opening of <strong>Torchy&#8217;s Tacos Raleigh &#8211; Midtown East<\/strong> (located in front of the Wegman&#8217;s location on Wake Forest Road). <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/torchystacos.com\/location\/midtown-east\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Keep up with any announcements on their website here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Today in the Quay<\/strong> reported this week on Facebook that <strong>Fuquay Brus<\/strong> is set to open a new location on Main Street in Fuquay-Varina. This will be in addition to their original location at 400 Broad Street, also in Fuquay. It is where <strong>Chocolate Fix <\/strong>used to be. If you are not familiar, <strong>Fuquay Brus<\/strong> is a coffee shop serving up a wide variety of coffee drinks and keto-friendly baked goods, as well as beer and wine. No word yet on an open date. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fuquaybrusfuquayvarina.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In Knightdale, the <strong>Triangle Business Journal <\/strong>reported that a farm-to-table restaurant is set to open and will pay tribute to the town\u2019s railroad. <strong>The Depot on First<\/strong> will transform a house at 608 N. First Ave. into a dining establishment with a menu that offers items from North Carolina producers. The focus will be on seafood including homemade crab cakes, scallops and crab legs. Also, steak, chicken, pasta and vegan as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options will be offered. They plan to open this fall. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.depotonfirst.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">You can start to learn about the concept here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Over in Cary, <strong>David McCreary<\/strong> tipped me off to the fact that <strong>La Grassa Pastificio<\/strong>, a locally owned Italian eatery, is scheduled to open next month at 908 Northeast Maynard Road in Cary. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lagrassaitaliano.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Get to know them here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Also in Cary, <strong>Raleigh Convergence<\/strong> reported this morning that <strong>Hank&#8217;s Downtown Dive <\/strong>at 111 E. Chatham Street has opened. They reported that the &#8220;neighborhood bohemian dive&#8221; will serve up elevated bar food, such as tacos, salads, small plates, entrees (fried chicken, carne asada) and desserts (including a unique float of tamarind Jarritos soda and angostura ice cream). <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hanksdowntowndive.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Looking for all the outdoor dining options in Downtown Raleigh? By day, <strong>Mosaic<\/strong> will be a welcoming caf\u00e9 and pastry shop specializing in baked treats\u2014think croissants, macarons, and much more. This <strong>Saturday<\/strong> <strong>(April 17th)<\/strong> <strong>from 5-9 p.m.<\/strong>, and every Saturday through June, they will pick a different district in downtown to encourage guests to frequent (dine-in, dine outside or order take-out). This weekend\u2019s focus being on <strong>Warehouse District<\/strong>.
