Look for a concept called <strong>The Egg &amp; I<\/strong> to take over that space. They serve breakfast and lunch. No word yet on an open date. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theeggandirestaurants.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Juice and salad delivery service <strong>Happy + Hale<\/strong> opened a brick and mortar location today in downtown Raleigh at 443 Fayetteville Street in front of the Bank of America building. He will take over the reigns on July 3rd. Congrats to <strong>Benjamin<\/strong>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Lorraine&#8217;s Coffee House and Music<\/strong>, a coffee shop that features live music, has opened in Garner. It is located at at 101 Timber Pointe Lane, on the corner of Timber Drive and Vandora Springs Road. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lorrainescoffeehouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham County Restaurant News\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>We were the first to break the news that Durham&#8217;s <strong>Bean Trader&#8217;s<\/strong> was expanding into the space next door. The expansion means <strong>Bean Trader&#8217;s<\/strong> will offer more roasting, coffee classes, a full alternative brew bar, and a craft waffle and dessert bar with beer and wine. Congrats to <strong>Christy <\/strong>and<strong> David<\/strong>! Expect the renovations and expansion to take place in stages. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.beantraderscoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Herald Sun<\/strong> reported this week that the kitchen has opened at <strong>Triangle Brewing Co.&#8217;s Pint &amp; Plate<\/strong> to allow for the bar (and now restaurant) to start serving food. They opened last year at 802 W. Main St., but didn&#8217;t start offering food until the kitchen opened on May 29. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/trianglebrewery.com\/pint-and-plate\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>This week the <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> noted that the much anticipated Japanese ramen shop <strong>Dashi<\/strong> announced their location &#8211; 415 E. Chapel Hill Street. <strong>Kelli and Billy Cotter<\/strong>, owners of the popular Downtown Durham paninoteca,\u00a0<strong><a shape=\"rect\">Toast<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong>Rochelle and Nick Johnson<\/strong>, owners of the culinary incubator and event space,\u00a0<strong><a shape=\"rect\">The Cookery<\/a><\/strong>, are behind this new concept. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dashiramen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><strong>Carpe Durham<\/strong> noted this week that <strong>Gocciolina<\/strong>, a small Italian restaurant, has opened at 3314 Guess Road in Durham. Locals will recognize <strong>Aaron Benjamin<\/strong>, the man behind the concept, who spent time at <strong>Rue Cler <\/strong>and<strong> Pops<\/strong>. <strong>Gocciolina<\/strong> has been open just over a week and is serving up small plates of Italian comfort food. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gocciolina.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> is reporting that <strong>Mi Peru<\/strong>, owned by the husband and wife team of <strong>Edwin Vergaray <\/strong>and<strong> Gladis Mu\u00f1oz<\/strong>, has opened in Durham in the space formerly occupied by <strong>Rick&#8217;s Cafe<\/strong> and more recently, <strong>Bear Rock Cafe <\/strong>and<strong> Fresno Cafe<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/miperucuisine\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out on Facebook here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> also reported this week that seven months after a building fire closed their pizza pie restaurant, the owners of<strong> Pizzeria Toro<\/strong> at <strong>Five Points<\/strong> in downtown Durham will reopen in late July at its original spot at 105 E. And there will be an after-party at the <strong>Pittsboro Roadhouse<\/strong> with fantastic live entertainment.
