That is about to change this weekend with the opening of the much-anticipated <strong>Boxyard RTP<\/strong> this <strong>Saturday, June 5th<\/strong>. The new dining spots debuting this weekend are <strong>Lawrence Barbecue<\/strong> and <strong>Buzzy Bakes<\/strong> (bake shop) along with retailers Medicine Mama\u2019s Farmacy and Thirteen West. The doors officially open at 11 a.m. It has been a long time coming. Look for <strong>Beyu Caffe<\/strong>, <strong>Bulkogi<\/strong>, <strong>Carrburritos<\/strong>, <strong>Fullsteam Brewery<\/strong>, <strong>Lagoon Bar<\/strong>, <strong>Meat &amp; Graze<\/strong>, <strong>RTP Uncorked<\/strong> and <strong>Wonderpuff<\/strong> to be added in the coming months. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/boxyardrtp\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Follow Boxyard RTP on Instagram here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A local Raleigh legend returns later this month. <strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported that <strong>Players Retreat<\/strong> will reopen on <strong>Wednesday, June 23 <\/strong>after more than a year of being closed<strong>.<\/strong> While the restaurant will reopen with indoor and outdoor dining, only fully-vaccinated individuals will be able to dine inside. They noted that the menu is also unique to this location. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ncbulkogi\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Follow them on Instagram here for additional details<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Up in North Raleigh, reader <strong>Katie Flanagan Page<\/strong> notified us that she spotted a sign at 13100 Falls of Neuse Road (same shopping center as <strong>Town Hall Burger &amp; Beer<\/strong> and <strong>Barrel Culture Brewing<\/strong>) for a spot called<strong> Poblano&#8217;s<\/strong>. At this point we don&#8217;t know much more, and whether it is connected to the <strong>Poblanos<\/strong> food truck. Stay tuned. This will only be the second Durham location (Guess Road). Nothing else to report at this time. It continues every Saturday through June and highlights a different district in downtown. This <strong>Saturday<\/strong> <strong>(June 5)<\/strong> <strong>from 5-9 p.m<\/strong>. This weekend\u2019s focus will be <strong><strong>Glenwood South<\/strong><\/strong>. Complimentary parking is available throughout downtown<strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/downtownraleigh.org\/dra-programs\/dine-out-downtown\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Get all the details and see which restaurants will be participating this Saturday here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You may remember that in 2018 Cary started the <strong>Pimento Cheese Festival<\/strong> and expanded it in 2019. And we all know what happened with the entire year of 2020. Well, 2021 will see its return, but with a twist. <strong>Taste of Pimento Cheese<\/strong> will run from today, <strong>Friday, June 4 through Sunday, June 13<\/strong> with participating restaurants creating new dishes that feature pimento cheese and adding them to their menu. People who order the pimento cheese dishes will not only get some great food but also receive a <strong>Taste of Pimento Cheese<\/strong> collectors pin. In addition to the restaurants, <strong>Grazin Gals<\/strong> is creating special charcutier boxes that feature two types of pimento cheese and many other great items.
