After a 15 year run, <strong>J. Betski&#8217;s<\/strong> will close in about two weeks. That&#8217;s the bad news. The good news is the owners are opening a new restaurant nearby. Stay tuned for that announcement soon. Book your last meal at this location soon. <span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/jbetskis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Details on their website here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Up in North Raleigh, <strong>EatRaleigh<\/strong> shared the news via Twitter that there is a new restaurant coming to <strong>Triangle Town Center<\/strong> called <strong>Lechon<\/strong> which touts itself as a Latin BBQ joint and bar. Not much else to report at this point. You can keep up with their progress <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lechonlatinbbq\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">on their Instagram page here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A little further north in Wake Forest, reader <strong>Todd Dawson<\/strong> shared that there is a sign up at the <strong>Heritage Shops in Wake Forest <\/strong>(2815 Rogers Road) for a new <strong>Crumbl Cookies<\/strong> location between <strong>Starbucks<\/strong> and <strong>Mod Pizza<\/strong>. No details yet. This will mark the 4th location in the Triangle, with the most recent opening in Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Brier Creek<\/strong>. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/crumblcookies.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Get familiar with Crumbl here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In Cary, friend <strong>Andrea Weigl<\/strong> shared the news that the restaurant inside the boutique hotel <strong>The Mayton<\/strong> has undergone renovations and a rebrand and is now <strong>Peck &amp; Plume<\/strong> (previously known as <strong>The Verandah<\/strong>). <strong>P&amp;P<\/strong> is a polished yet casual restaurant offering a menu of modern American classics and is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. The restaurant team includes chef <strong>Steve Zanini<\/strong> and general manager <strong>Whitney Gilliom<\/strong>. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.peckandplume.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Check it out here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Staying in Cary, saw on several social media posts that <strong>Flip Side Donuts<\/strong> (a donut and coffee shop offering the classics as well as creative, vegan, and gluten-friendly donuts) is opening in one week on <strong>August 21<\/strong> in the former <strong>Happycakes Cupcakery<\/strong> spot at 9958 Chapel Hill Road in Cary (think <strong>Guasaca<\/strong>). The sports bar will feature a gaming parlor and lounge with\u00a0games from skeeball to a golf simulator.\u00a0To get an idea of what is to come, check out <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/liveatthebatteryatlanta.com\/eat-and-drink\/sports-and-social-atlanta\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">their location in Atlanta here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>My number one source for restaurant news in eastern Wake County, <strong>David McCreary<\/strong>, shared the news that <strong>Bellini Fine Italian Cuisine<\/strong> announced on its Facebook page this week that it plans to relocate this fall from its current location in <strong>MacGregor Village<\/strong> in Cary to a new location at 7256 GB Alford Highway in the <strong>Shoppes at Holly Springs<\/strong> this fall. <strong>Bellini<\/strong> will take over the space formerly occupied by the now-shuttered <strong>Los Pos Mexican restaurant<\/strong>. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BelliniFineItalianCuisine\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Keep up with the transition on their Facebook page here<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>And a huge congratulations to <strong>Saif Rahman<\/strong>, executive chef of <strong>Vidrio<\/strong> in Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Glenwood South<\/strong> (part of the<strong> LM Restaurant Group<\/strong>) as he earned the title of <strong>North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association\u2019s 2021 Chef of the Year<\/strong>. First up, chef <strong>Sera Cuni<\/strong> will return to the <strong>Food Network<\/strong> for a &#8216;redemption&#8217; episode of <strong>Guy&#8217;s Grocery Games<\/strong> on <strong>Wednesday, Aug 18<\/strong>. They are hosting a\u00a0viewing party\u00a0at <strong>The Lumina Theater<\/strong> in Chapel Hill with all proceeds from the event being donated to\u00a0<strong>CORA<\/strong>, the Chatham County food pantry. No word yet on a name nor opening date. Stay tuned.
