Impress your co-workers at the water cooler.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00a0<strong>Featured Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>This past week marked the closing of <strong>Benelux Coffee<\/strong> in downtown Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>City Market<\/strong>, but also the announcement that they will be opening their new location in <strong>Cameron Village Shopping Center<\/strong> (402 Oberlin Street to be exact) next month. In the meantime, you can visit them at their <strong>Alexander Family YMCA location<\/strong> on Hillsborough Street. We&#8217;ll keep an eye on their opening date. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/beneluxcoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Keep up with them here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0In other coffee news, <strong>Carolina Business Connection<\/strong> reported earlier this week that Wake Forest-based coffee shop <strong>Bean Therapy<\/strong> has opened a second location at <strong>The Galleria<\/strong> in North Raleigh at 9650 Strickland Road. They will have an open house on <strong>September 6<\/strong> from 10 &#8211; 6 p.m. with door prizes and free coffee samples. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/beantherapy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> reported this week that Italian restaurant <strong>Posta Tuscan Grille<\/strong> and its bar at the <strong>Marriott City Center<\/strong> in downtown Raleigh are transitioning into a Southern eatery and gastropub that will be called <strong>Rye Bar and Southern Kitchen<\/strong>. Look for renovations to begin in early October with a planned &#8220;reopening&#8221; the second week of November.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word this week from a <strong>Yelp<\/strong> message board that a <strong>Supreme Hibachi Asian Buffet<\/strong> is set to open in the location that used to be <strong>Blinco&#8217;s<\/strong> at 6711 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. No word yet on an open date, but we&#8217;ll keep an eye on it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Gary Lane<\/strong> let me know this week that <strong>Clouds Brewing<\/strong>, a locally owned craft beer bar and restaurant in downtown Raleigh, is holding their grand opening <strong>tonight<\/strong> (<strong>August 29<\/strong>) beginning at 5 p.m. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/CloudsBrewing\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Get all the details here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Beginning at 11 a.m. on <strong>September 1st<\/strong>, <strong>World of Beer<\/strong> is opening their second Triangle area location at the corner of Harrison Avenue and Westin Parkway. Here are the numbers: 55 taps; 500 bottled beers; 19 flat screens. And that does not include the pretty yummy pub faire that will be offered. Also, on <strong>September 2nd<\/strong> (their official grand opening) 10% of all sales will go to <strong>SAFEChild<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/wobcary\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word from several sources this week that<strong> Blackfinn Ameripub<\/strong> is set to open <strong>September 3rd<\/strong> (as with any opening, that is subject to change) in Morrisville&#8217;s <strong>Park West Village<\/strong> at 3201 Village Market Place. With other locations throughout the country, this marks the first Triangle area location. It looks pretty cool. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blackfinnameripub.com\/morrisville\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check it out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham County Restaurant News\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>News and Observer<\/strong> reported that <strong>Foster&#8217;s Market Chapel Hill<\/strong>, a restaurant and market that opened in 1998, is changing its name to <strong>The Root Cellar Caf\u00e9 &amp; Catering<\/strong> in September. Everything you have come to love will remain the same. But look for some new things on the horizon. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/rootcellarchapelhill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Looks like hot dogs are joining the list of hottest places on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill &#8211; joining pizza joints and t-shirt shops. <strong>The Daily Tar Heel<\/strong> is reporting this week that <strong>Trolly Stop Hot Dogs<\/strong> is well on its way to opening a Chapel Hill location at 306 W. Franklin Street, in the same complex as <strong>Vespa Ristorante<\/strong>. This follows the opening of <strong>Sup Dogs<\/strong>, which just opened several weeks ago. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trollystophotdogs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> is reporting this morning that <strong>Nzinga&#8217;s<\/strong>, a new breakfast and brunch cafe, is coming to 828 Fayetteville Street in the <strong>Phoenix Crossing Shopping Center<\/strong> in Durham. They are having a &#8220;tasting party&#8221; on <strong>September 4th<\/strong> from 6-7:30 p.m. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/nzingasbreakfastcafe?fref=photo\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check out their Facebook page here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Closings<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bummed to have to report this week that <strong>Dorry&#8217;s Downtown<\/strong> closed their doors in downtown Cary last weekend. My best to <strong>Ray<\/strong> on whatever he takes on next.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Saw on a <strong>Yelp<\/strong> message board, and confirmed by a posting on Twitter, that just over a year after opening, the <strong>OC Bar &amp; Grill<\/strong> on Oberlin Road in Raleigh has closed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word from reader <strong>Pat Price<\/strong> this week that the <strong>View Bar<\/strong> on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh has closed. That is the bad news. But coming out of that, it appears as if <strong>Big Mike&#8217;s BBQ<\/strong> (which was operating out of <strong>View Bar<\/strong>) will be opening a new location over in Cary next month at 1222 NW Maynard Road in Cary. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/apexbbq.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Website says it is opening in October<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>. We will keep an eye on it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Food Trucks<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>The next food truck rodeo in <strong>Durham&#8217;s Central Park<\/strong> is scheduled for noon-4 p.m. on <strong>August 31<\/strong>.
