In August, we will see the 1,800-square-foot restaurant open with 36 seats inside and a very cool outdoor space offering 80 additional seats. The restaurant will be located at 300 E. Edenton Street. Congrats to owners <strong>Adam Cunningham<\/strong>, <strong>Marc Russell<\/strong> and <strong>Ben Davis<\/strong>. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/longleafswinebbq\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Keep up with their progress on Instagram here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>This is a hard one to share as we lost an amazingly beautiful person this week. <strong>Sola Coffee<\/strong> shared the news that beloved coffee shop owner <strong>Jeanne Luther<\/strong> passed this week after a nearly 4 year fight with ALS. <strong>Jeanne <\/strong>and her husband <strong>John<\/strong> opened <strong>Sola Coffee<\/strong> on Lead Mine Road in Raleigh in 2013. The coffee shop, which is truly a community gathering place with an amazing family feel, will re-open on Tuesday. Best to see some of the tributes to <strong>Jeanne<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SolaCoffeeCafe\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">on their Facebook page here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. Our prayers go out to <strong>John<\/strong>, his family and the entire <strong>Sola<\/strong> community\/family.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We are hearing that after a successful soft-opening weekend, the folks over at <strong>Fine Folk <\/strong>are now open from 5-10 p.m. Thursday through Monday at their location at 2409 Crabtree Boulevard next to <strong>Union Special<\/strong> (former <strong>Brew Coffee<\/strong> <strong>Bar <\/strong>spot). We are also hearing they have plans to extend their hours to Tuesday once they get through the initial opening. The duo behind <strong>Fine Folk<\/strong>, <strong>Chris Lopez<\/strong> and <strong>John Kleinert<\/strong>, ran Cary restaurant <strong>Postmaster Bar and Grill<\/strong> until the Covid-19 pandemic forced the restaurant to close. Since then they have hosted pop-up meals at the <strong>Foundation<\/strong> bar and more recently at <strong>Union Special<\/strong>. You can view the menu and link to their social media <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.finefolkraleigh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">through their site here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>.  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>CowBar Burgers and Fries<\/strong> shared on Facebook this week that they have opened their second location in <strong>North Hills<\/strong> having moved into the former <strong>B.GOOD<\/strong> location in the <strong>Park District<\/strong>. While <strong>CowBar<\/strong> already has a presence in the Raleigh community at <strong>Morgan Street Food Hall<\/strong>, the <strong>North Hills<\/strong> location features various new menu items \u2013 including a vegan burger, Italian beef sandwich, beer floats, and boozy milkshakes. They also offer a full-service bar. <strong>CowBar<\/strong> is just one of the many Raleigh restaurants that are a part of <strong>Niall Hanley\u2019s Hibernian Hospitality Group<\/strong>. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cowbarburger.com\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.cowbarburger.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reader <strong>Chuck Till<\/strong> shared that signage for the new <strong>Fresko Greek Kitchen<\/strong> is up at <strong>Brennan Station<\/strong> at 8107 Creedmoor Rd in north Raleigh. This is the former <strong>Pokano and Pokego<\/strong> site. No word yet on an opening date. This marks their first location in North Carolina. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/bibibop.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Pay them a visit here<\/mark>. <\/a><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Some exciting news from the folks over at Cary\u2019s <strong>Catering by Design<\/strong>. Owners <strong>Philip <\/strong>and<strong> Amy Lin<\/strong> have started a nonprofit foundation with the goal of bringing <strong>Howdy Homemade Ice Cream<\/strong> to the Triangle. If you are not familiar with <strong>Howdy<\/strong>, it was established to train and mentor young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities using smiles and amazing ice cream. That building will become a Fifth Third bank. They will offer guests a chance to taste the food of 15 of the great restaurants in <strong>Glenwood South<\/strong>.
