Impress your co-workers at the water cooler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Featured Restaurant News<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The Common Market<\/strong>, a popular Charlotte-based bar, deli and bodega concept, is expanding to Durham with a 5,000-square-foot location just off Ninth Street at 1821 Green Street near the Duke East Campus. <strong>Conde Nast Traveler<\/strong> described the concept as \u201cpart general store, part deli, and part bar, this is a surefire bet for a non-boring bite to eat.\u201d This will be the fifth <strong>Common Market<\/strong> location since its founding in 2002. In addition, owner <strong>Graham Worth<\/strong> anticipates a food hall-esque experience with the addition of a local coffee vendor, and possibly pastry, bagels, doughnuts and\/or ice cream from local artisans, not to mention regular pop-ups. They take over the reigns from <strong>Mike Ritchey<\/strong>, owner for the past 22 years. <strong>Mike<\/strong> will assist <strong>Jim<\/strong> and <strong>Bell<\/strong> with the transition and to help identify expansion options. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.globalvillagecoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit Global Village here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In West Raleigh on Edwards Mill Road, reader <strong>Nikki Cleveland<\/strong> brought it to our attention that the former <strong>Stromboli&#8217;s<\/strong> spot (3434 Edwards Mills Road) is now <strong>Bronco&#8217;s Tacos<\/strong>, Raleigh&#8217;s newest taco spot offering a wide variety of quick-casual Mexican favorites. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.broncotacosraleigh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Check them out here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Down in Holly Springs, reader <strong>Brett Bearman<\/strong> shared with us that the <strong>MediTerra Grill<\/strong> had been sold\/closed and that there is now a sign for <strong>Taziki&#8217;s Cafe<\/strong> coming soon. This will be the fourth Triangle-area location for <strong>Taziki&#8217;s<\/strong>. And there remains a <strong>MediTerra Grill <\/strong>location in Durham on Erwin Road. They are close to opening. It specializes in locally roasted coffee and one-of-a-kind energy drinks. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/boltdrinksandcoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit them here for more details<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Succotash Food Truck<\/strong> is taking over the space formerly home to <strong>Park\u2019s Food St.<\/strong> at 3219 Old Chapel Hill Road. They serve \u201cSouthern Fusion\u201d fare \u2013 Louisiana Cajun and Creole, Texas barbecue and Lowcountry Cuisine from the Carolinas. The menu reflects the culinary background of chef <strong>Juan DiGiulio<\/strong>, who is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He and his wife, <strong>Sam<\/strong>, founded the food truck four years ago. <strong>Succotash<\/strong> will be the name of the restaurant which is aiming to open at the beginning of September. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/succotashdurham.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Get to know them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Over in Chapel Hill, <strong>Thaiphoon Bistro<\/strong>, with two locations in Raleigh (Glenwood Avenue and Creedmoor Road), announced this week that they have opened a third location, this one at 1704-A East Franklin Street. They opened this past Monday adjacent to the Staples store. They are open for lunch and dinner. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/thaiphoonbistro.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Also in Chapel Hill, <strong>The Daily Tar Heel<\/strong> shared that <strong>Bombolo<\/strong>, owned by siblings <strong>Garret Fleming <\/strong>and <strong>Eleanor Lacy<\/strong>, will be a casual Mediterranean-Italian restaurant set to open at 104 N. Graham St., beside <strong>Al\u2019s Burger Shack<\/strong>. <strong>Bombolo<\/strong> will serve pasta, charcuterie and sandwiches. You will recognize the owners as the same folks that brought us <strong>Big Belly Que<\/strong>. Look for an opening by August. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bombolochapelhill\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Might be best to follow their progress on Facebook here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ever wanted to own your own your own restaurant? How about one that is well established and profitable? Well, <strong>Neal DePersia<\/strong> at <strong>DePersia &amp; Associates<\/strong> wanted to share the news that <strong>Carrboro Pizza Oven<\/strong> in <strong>Carr Mill Mall<\/strong> is for sale. The current owner relocated to the West coast last year and has a well trained, experienced staff running the operation. The locations in Raleigh and Durham remain open. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The self-proclaimed <strong>&#8220;Dude of Morgan Street&#8221; <\/strong>passed along the information that the<strong> Taco Bell Cantina<\/strong> on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh has closed and no longer appears on the <strong>Taco Bell<\/strong> app. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Food Trucks<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The final <strong>Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo<\/strong> of 2022 will be on <strong>Sunday, September 25th<\/strong>.
