Salisbury Street in downtown Raleigh. Their tag line probably says it best &#8211; a starting point for your day, an escape in the middle, and a reward at the end. Make the effort to stop by sometime soon. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lucettegrace.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get your mouth watering by checking them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0In the event that you were under a rock somewhere, Asheville&#8217;s <strong>Tupelo Honey Caf\u00e9<\/strong> opened this past Monday in the <strong>401 Oberlin Apartments complex<\/strong> adjacent to <strong>Cameron Village<\/strong>. This place is amazing. Everything from the decor and artwork to the drinks and entrees are simply amazing. These first two weeks, they will only be open for dinner. Lunch hours begin on December 15th. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/tupelohoneycafe.com\/location\/raleigh\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Night Kitchen Bakehouse &amp; Caf\u00e9<\/strong>, which recently opened in downtown Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Seaboard Station<\/strong>, will launch an expanded menu on <strong>December 16th<\/strong> which will include sandwiches on house-baked breads, quiche by the slice, salads and a soup of the day. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RaleighNightKitchen\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word this week that <strong>Smashburger<\/strong> is gearing up to open its second Triangle location, this one in Raleigh, on <strong>Wednesday, Dec. 17<\/strong> in the <strong>Shops at Falls Village<\/strong> &#8211; 6679 Falls of Neuse Rd. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/smashburger.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get all the details here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In Cary, the <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> has reported that locals have two more Indian restaurants to enjoy. <strong>Biryani Maxx<\/strong> has opened at 590-102 E. Chatham St. in Cary. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/biryanimaxx.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. And less than a block away, <strong>Sri Meneekshi Bhavan<\/strong> has opened at 740 E. Chatham St. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/srimeenakshibhavan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham County Restaurant News<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Andy Magowan<\/strong>, owner of Durham&#8217;s <strong>Geer Street Garden<\/strong>, has teamed up again with <strong>Andy Perno<\/strong> and opened an Italian restaurant called <strong>The Boot<\/strong>. It is located on University Drive in the former <strong>Local Yogurt<\/strong> space, across from <strong>Nana&#8217;s<\/strong>. They are open for dinner now, but beginning on <strong>December 10th<\/strong>, they will open for lunch. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/The-Boot\/685656744834186\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Over near Chapel Hill, I saw this week that <strong>Figs and Honey<\/strong> has opened in the <strong>Chatham Downs Shopping Center<\/strong> (Harris Teeter) on 15-501 just across the county line in Chatham County. It is owned by the husband and wife team of <strong>Heba Salama<\/strong> and <strong>Ed Brantley<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.figandhoneync.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\">Check out their menu here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> reported that <strong>Charlie Deal<\/strong>, who owns\u00a0<strong>Dos Perros<\/strong>\u00a0in Durham and\u00a0<strong>Jujube\u00a0<\/strong>in Chapel Hill, will be opening a new &#8220;Asian tapas restaurant&#8221; called<strong>\u00a0Juju<\/strong> on Durham&#8217;s Ninth Street by mid-December. It will be in the former location of <strong>George&#8217;s Garage<\/strong> at 737 Ninth Street. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jujudurham.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>According to the <strong>Herald Sun<\/strong>, Latin American restaurant <strong>Gonza Tacos y Tequila<\/strong>, which has locations in Raleigh and Wake Forest, will be opening a Durham location next month at 604 Fernway Ave. The location previously housed the restaurant <strong>604 West Village<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gonzatacosytequila.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> confirmed this week that <strong>City Barbecue<\/strong>, which opened its first North Carolina location in Cary earlier this year, will be expanding into Durham. They have purchased an out-parcel on Highway 54 in front of the Kroger-anchored shopping center, between <strong>McDonald&#8217;s<\/strong> and <strong>Ruby Tuesday<\/strong>. No word yet on an open date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And over in Chapel Hill at <strong>East 54<\/strong>, <strong>The Egg &amp; I <\/strong>breakfast andlLunch restaurant is swinging open their doors next <strong>Monday, December 8th<\/strong>. They open at 6 a.m., so get there early if you like! <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theeggandirestaurants.com\/locations\/chapelhill.html\" target=\"_blank\">Get all the details here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in Chapel Hill, on a recent drive down Franklin Street I noticed that <strong>Jasmin Bistro<\/strong>, a Mediterranean restaurant with four locations in the Triangle (all in Wake County), is opening at the corner of Columbia and Franklin Streets in the former location of <strong>Qdoba<\/strong>. Look for an opening sometime this Spring. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jasminbistro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Closings<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Reader <strong>Mark Ginsberg<\/strong> informed me that <strong>Maximillian&#8217;s Pizza Kitchen<\/strong> on Chapel Hill Road in Cary has closed. He did note that <strong>Maximillian Bar &amp; Grill<\/strong> (next door) is still open.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Food Trucks<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>The food truck website <strong>Mobile Cuisine<\/strong> is holding a national contest to identify America&#8217;s best dessert food truck. In the running is our very own <strong>Not Just Icing<\/strong>. Let&#8217;s show them our support! Currently, they are just a few hundred votes out of first place. Children can listen to Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus read &#8220;&#8216;Twas the Night Before Christmas,&#8221; enjoy gingerbread cookies and share their last-minute lists. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy a brunch with country ham eggs Benedict, figgy pudding and a bloody mary. Reservations are recommended.
