Originally from Wilmington, this brewery and taproom creates and serves<strong> <\/strong>flavor-distinct beers. An opening date has not yet been announced. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/newanthembeer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Get familiar with them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Up in North Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Sutton Square<\/strong>, <strong>Kenan<\/strong> and<strong> Julie Barnes<\/strong> shared that there is a new tenant in the former <strong>Chubby&#8217;s Tacos<\/strong> spot &#8211; a place called <strong>Street Tacos Cantina<\/strong>. We don&#8217;t have an open date and not much else to share at this point. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/streettacoscantinanc\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Choose to follow them on Instagram if you like<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Also in North Raleigh, reader <strong>Gene Smith<\/strong> shared that the former <strong>Barrel Culture<\/strong> location at 13100 New Falls of the Neuse Road will soon be the first Triangle area location of Surf City&#8217;s <strong>Salty Turtle<\/strong>, a well-known neighborhood brewery. No opening date has been set yet. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/saltyturtlebeer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Get familiar with them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And thanks to the keen eyes of blogger <strong>EatRaleigh<\/strong>, we learned that Google is showing that the newest Triangle-area locaiton of <strong>Bonchon<\/strong>, at 6320 Capital Blvd., will open on February 1st. Please note, this is according to Google searches. Check in with the restaurant before making plans. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/locations.bonchon.com\/ll\/US\/NC\/Raleigh\/6320-Capital-Blvd\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Do so here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And the Triangle is now home to two more <strong>Viv&#8217;s Fridges<\/strong>, bringing the current total to three in Raleigh and one in Durham. The previous two are at the respective <strong>Wine Authorities<\/strong> locations in Raleigh and Durham. The two newest locations are: <strong>Taylor\u2019s Wine Shop<\/strong> (10005 Six Forks Rd., Raleigh) and <strong>North Hills<\/strong> (at Park Central in the breezeway near Vita Vite &#8211; 200 Park at North Hills, Ste. #130). If you are not familiar with these fridges, they are the creation of <strong>Vivian Howard<\/strong> and are stocked with her appetizers, entrees, sides, desserts and gifts. It will be the first for\u00a0franchise partner <strong>Donny Nobles<\/strong>, and the fourth <strong>Eggs Up Grill<\/strong> franchise to open in the Raleigh market. A fifth will soon open in Apex (joining Clayton, Garner, Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs). <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/eggsupgrill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Get to know them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> shared the news this week that a new sausage-centric bar will open in Downtown Durham&#8217;s <strong>Brightleaf District<\/strong> this year. <strong>Joe Schwartz<\/strong> will open <strong>Max Jr\u2019s<\/strong> teaming up with <strong>The Federal<\/strong> owners <strong>Fergus Bradley<\/strong> and <strong>Josh Wittman<\/strong>. The project will be built in shipping containers in the parking lot space behind <strong>The Living Room<\/strong> bar. The restaurant looks to open as early as the spring or summer, but a food truck preview called <strong>Meyer\u2019s Fine Foods &amp; Good Times<\/strong> will hit the road in March or April.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Also in Durham, <strong>Durham Magazine<\/strong> shared the news this week that a new cocktail bar <strong>Glori<\/strong> is slated to open early this year in the former <strong>Quarter Horse<\/strong> space beneath the Kress building (101 W. Main St.). <strong>Glori<\/strong> will offer speakeasy vibes and music in an intimate environment with no \u201cvertical drinking,&#8221; meaning all guests are seated and served without the need to order at the bar. Our best to chef\/owner <strong>Baptist Knaven<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Over in Durham, got news from multiple sources that <strong>J. Lights Market &amp; Cafe<\/strong> in the <strong>Golden Belt<\/strong> <strong>Campus<\/strong> has closed. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And in Apex, got word from <strong>Chris Creighton<\/strong> that the <strong>Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes &amp; Fries <\/strong>location at 802 Perry Road has closed. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Food Trucks<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And it looks as if someone has been reading my diary again. On my home last evening, a trip that often takes me by <strong>Merritt&#8217;s Store &amp; Grill<\/strong> at 1009 South Columbia Street, I saw a freshly minted food truck with the <strong>Merritt&#8217;s<\/strong> logo beautifully imprinted on the side. And it is a huge truck! Beautiful truck. Folks, BLT&#8217;s on wheels.
