It is located in the<strong> Park Alumni Center<\/strong> overlooking Lake Raleigh on NC State&#8217;s Centennial Campus. Under the direction of executive chef <strong>James Eason<\/strong>, the new restaurant features a seasonal menu of traditional and southern fusion cuisine. Dishes are made completely from scratch and feature a variety of ingredients from local farms, the NC state farmer\u2019s market, and the chef\u2019s garden, located on the outdoor patio. West S<strong>t.<\/strong>),<strong> <\/strong>is opening this <strong>Saturday, Feb. 11<\/strong>. This all-wood barbecue restaurant is opening its first Raleigh location this weekend, with limited seating. So just over a week from now. No word on a timeline, nor could we find an online presence. Stay tuned on this one. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Blogger <strong>EatRaleigh<\/strong> also noticed signage up for <strong>I Heart Mac &amp; Cheese<\/strong> in the same <strong>Quail Corners Shopping Center<\/strong>. Please don&#8217;t tell my daughter about this! It is probably what you would expect from their name, but they specialize in customizable, made-to-order mac and cheese bowls with a variety of bases including quinoa, broccoli, cauliflower, gluten-free pasta and grilled cheese sandwiches. It looks like there are several locations in the Charlotte area and one in Greenville, but this will be the first Triangle-area location. No word on an open date. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/iheartmacandcheese.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Get familiar with them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Down in Fuquay-Varina (aka The Q), my friend <strong>David McCreary<\/strong> shared the news that <strong>El Cantarito Bar &amp; Grill<\/strong> has announced plans to open in the mixed-use development at 155 S. Main St. in downtown. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/elcantaritobarandgrill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Start getting familiar with them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And just over in Holly Springs, got word this week that <strong>Local Time Brewing<\/strong>, a travel-inspired craft brewery and&nbsp; taproom designed to celebrate culture and community, is headed our way. Owners <strong>Chris<\/strong> and <strong>Kelly Gallagher<\/strong> have joined forces with <strong>Devin Singley<\/strong>, an award-winning brewmaster renowned throughout the Triangle. Located at 300 South Main Street, the 75-seat capacity taproom and outdoor space will feature a rotation of six to eight handcrafted beers. Look for them to open in early 2023, but in the meantime, <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/localtimebrewing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">get familiar with them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And we wanted to take a moment to congratulate Raleigh-based chef and restaurateur <strong>Scott Crawford<\/strong> who was just named the <strong>2023 Restaurateur of the Year<\/strong> by the <strong>North Carolina Restaurant &amp; Lodging Association\u2019s (NCRLA)<\/strong>. In case you don&#8217;t know, <strong>Crawford<\/strong> is the chef and restaurateur behind the <strong>Crawford Hospitality<\/strong> suite of restaurants including <strong>Crawford and Son<\/strong>, <strong>Jolie<\/strong>, <strong>Crawford Cookshop<\/strong> and the upcoming <strong>Brodeto<\/strong>, <strong>Crawford Brothers Steakhouse<\/strong> and <strong>Crawford\u2019s Genuine<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>WRAL<\/strong> shared the news this week that <strong>Mango Indian Grill<\/strong>, the newest tenant at the <strong>Durham Food Hall, <\/strong>is now open. It is brought to us by the husband and wife team, <strong>Mathi<\/strong> and <strong>Priya Pothiyappan<\/strong>, who also own Chapel Hill\u2019s <strong>CholaNad Restaurant &amp; Bar<\/strong> (along with three locations inside UNC\u2019s campus). <strong>Mango<\/strong> serves up contemporary South Indian cuisine. This cooking competition brings together eight of the Triangle\u2019s premier chefs. All proceeds benefit <strong>Overflowing Hands<\/strong>, a volunteer-led organization serving the most vulnerable children in our neighborhoods, fighting food insecurity and providing clothing, shelter and healthcare.
