They made the announcement via Instagram. No word on an open date. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/gymtacos\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Follow them on Instagram here for updates<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thanks to a tip from <strong>Kenan Barnes<\/strong>, we learned that a concept called <strong>Gen Ramen<\/strong> (Sushi, Tempura &amp; Sake) will be opening in the former <strong>Bendito<\/strong> \/ <strong>Hightop Burger<\/strong> spot in <strong>McNeil Pointe<\/strong> (corner of McNeil Street and Wake Forest Road at 2330 Bale Street). We were unable to locate an online presence for them, so you will have to stay tuned. Thanks <strong>Kenan<\/strong>! <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Rise Southern Biscuits and Righteous Chicken<\/strong>, the award-winning breakfast and lunch concept based in Durham, will open its tenth location in the Raleigh-Durham market in late spring 2023. <strong>Rise Cary <\/strong>will be located in <strong>Waverly Place<\/strong>. <strong>Rise<\/strong> currently has seventeen stores open with over 100 franchise locations under contract. We reported that <strong>Taco Shack<\/strong> is opening up in the former <strong>Tijuana Flats<\/strong> location (1310 E Millbrook Road) in the <strong>Quail Corners Shopping Center<\/strong>. We were close, but not quite close enough. It is actually a concept called <strong>Burrito Shak<\/strong> that is bringing their second location to the Triangle. They have 5 locations in eastern North Carolina, as well as one in Cary (and one in Arizona!). If you are not familiar with them, <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.burritoshak.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">do so here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And over in Cary, got word from <strong>Hugh Autry<\/strong> that <strong>Benny&#8217;s Billiards and Sports Bar<\/strong> (932 N.E. Maynard Road) is now open for lunch seven days a week. After a media\/friends night last night (Thursday) <strong>Bombolo<\/strong> has begun accepting reservations for February 23 and beyond. Owned by siblings <strong>Garret Fleming <\/strong>and <strong>Eleanor Lacy<\/strong>, <strong>Bomobolo<\/strong> is located in the former <strong>Kitchen<\/strong> space at 764 MLK Jr. Blvd. You will recognize the owners as the same folks that brought us <strong>Big Belly Que<\/strong>. They will begin with dinner service Thursday through Sunday, with Mondays and brunches coming soon. They have handed the reins of this long standing bakery cafe over to <strong>Brandy Corbett<\/strong> and <strong>Amy Kelley<\/strong>. Franklin Street (Suite 150). This looks to be the eighth Triangle-area location for the concept. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/crumblcookies.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit Crumbl here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Over in downtown Durham we learned there is a new spot to get a hot dog, thanks to a tip from the folks over at <strong>Triangle NC Foodies<\/strong>. <strong>Tubbs Hotdogs<\/strong> is posted up right next to &#8220;the bull&#8221; at East Chapel Hill and Corcoran streets, across from the Marriott and Unscripted Hotels. They will be open all day from 11am &#8211; 10pm as usual, but offering 30% off everything from their menu on February 18th! Entertainment and giveaways will be from 12pm-3pm.
