Included are: <strong>Biscuit Belly<\/strong>, opening this fall they are known for their large scratch-made, crave-worthy biscuit sandwiches and brunch cocktails (first NC location); <strong>The Yard Milkshake Bar<\/strong>, specializes in over-the-top milkshake creations, sundaes, scooped ice cream and edible cookie dough (first NC location); and <strong>High Rail<\/strong>, a rooftop bar featuring a curated and eclectic menu with shareable plates, craft cocktails and more. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/seaboardstation.com\/visit\/?filter=restaurants\" target=\"_blank\">Visit them here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Downtown Raleigh is soon to get a new wine bar and shop called <strong>The Hippo<\/strong>, going into the former <strong>Short Walk Wines<\/strong> spot at 123 E. Martin Street (across from <strong>Larry&#8217;s Coffee<\/strong>). It was spotted by our friends over at <strong>Taste Carolina<\/strong>. Looks like they specialize in natural, low-intervention and estate wines. They will be open 2-10 p.m. every day, but haven&#8217;t announced an open date just yet. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/the__hippo\/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y%3D\" target=\"_blank\">Follow along on Instagram here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At a recent fundraising event I attended at <strong>The Pickled Onion<\/strong>, I learned that the popular food truck <strong>The Wandering Moose<\/strong> is about a month away from opening up their brick and mortar location at 2315 Lynn Road (<strong>Hidden Valley Plaza<\/strong>, near the intersection of Lynn and Creedmoor roads). It will be called <strong>The Wandering Moose Tavern<\/strong>. Due to the attention the new space is requiring, the food truck is temporarily &#8220;off the road&#8221; as they focus on opening. Looks like they are providing updates <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/wanderingmoosenc\/\" target=\"_blank\">on their Instagram page here<\/a><\/strong>.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There is one more spot to get &#8220;Happy&#8221; in Raleigh. &#8220;Hale&#8221; yeah! (ok, I&#8217;ll stop) The folks over at <strong>RalToday<\/strong> shared that <strong>Happy + Hale<\/strong> is now open in the PNC Arena. Located outside of section 123 across from the <strong>Shake Shack<\/strong>, the healthy foods spot will serve dishes like protein bowls for nearly all arena events. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.happyandhale.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Got word this week that Cary&#8217;s<strong> Fenton<\/strong> development will welcome their newest addition, <strong>Axa Rooftop Bar<\/strong>, when it officially opens on <strong>Saturday, April 7th<\/strong>. The outdoor rooftop is the perfect environment for attendees to enjoy craft cocktails, wine and shareable, Mediterranean-inspired small plates. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/avarooftopbar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We must be getting closer to the opening of the area&#8217;s first location of <strong>Taco Bamba Tacqueria<\/strong>, as I was recently invited to a &#8220;pop-up&#8221; dinner for the concept. We don&#8217;t have a date yet, but &#8220;tastes&#8221; like it will be soon. This will be the franchise&#8217;s first venture outside of the D.C. market where they have ten locations. They are described as Victor Albisu\u2019s stand-up\/counter-served take on Mexican street food and tacos in both traditional and chef-driven styles. They will be located in the <strong>Ridgewood<\/strong> shopping center on Wade Avenue in Raleigh where they will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tacobamba.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">You can start getting familiar with them here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> shared this week that a restaurant brand known for being at the forefront of the craze over Korean fried chicken just launched a Raleigh restaurant. <strong>Bonchon<\/strong> is now open at 6320 Capital Blvd. near <strong>Triangle Town Center<\/strong> mall. The chain started in South Korea in 2002 and has spread across the U.S. in recent years, amassing more than 120 franchise locations. They have one other Triangle-area location on Chapel Hill&#8217;s Franklin Street. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/locations.bonchon.com\/ll\/US\/NC\/Raleigh\/6320-Capital-Blvd\" target=\"_blank\">Get to know them here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Down in Garner, we saw on a post on the <strong>GarnerBiz<\/strong> page that a <strong>SodaBox<\/strong> is opening at Benson Rd and Timber in the old cleaner space beside <strong>Little Caesars<\/strong>. What are they? Basically really fun and creative soda drinks (and treats) spot. They already have locations in Apex and Rolesville&#8230;and more on the way. If you&#8217;ve never been before, here is your reason. The picturesque 26 Alley (they number the alleyways in Durham) is a charming spot for brunch, dinner or a drink in downtown Durham. They hold the dinners in their wine cellar, which is a really unique space if you\u2019ve never seen it. The dinner will feature five delicious courses, thoughtfully prepared by <strong>Gravy\u2019s<\/strong> executive chef <strong>Quintin Pocher<\/strong>, paired with Italian wines.
