They open today, <strong>May 19th<\/strong>. I got a chance to visit earlier this week and it is absolutely gorgeous &#8211; with an open, airy feel with plenty of indoor seating to take in all their yumminess! Their opening hours for the first few weeks will be Wednesday through Friday from 7-2 and Saturday and Sunday from 8-2. This will mark the sixth overall and third Wake County location for the celebrated Wilmington seafood brand (the other two in the Triangle are in the <strong>Village District <\/strong>and on Spring Forest Road). The opening to the public will be preceded by four \u201creservation-only\u201d charity events on May 25, 26, 27 and 28 to benefit community partners <strong>The First Tee of the Triangle<\/strong>, <strong>The Joel Fund<\/strong> and the <strong>Trawick Pediatric Cardiology Fund at Duke Children\u2019s Hospital<\/strong>. The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> shared the news this week that <strong>Chido Taco<\/strong> will open their second Triangle location next week. It is located next to Trader Joe&#8217;s at 151 SE Cary Parkway in the former <strong>Tijuana Flats<\/strong> space. <strong>Chido<\/strong> is owned by cousins <strong>Salvador Alvarez<\/strong> and <strong>Joel Ibarra<\/strong> (they also own <strong>Totopos<\/strong> across the street from the new location). They have plans to open a third <strong>Chido<\/strong> location in July at 555 Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/chidotaco.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit Chido here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In Morrisville, I noticed this week that <strong>Mamacita Modern Mexican and Cocktails<\/strong> has opened at 9928 Chapel Hill Road in the former <strong>Flying Mayan<\/strong> spot. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mamacitanc\" target=\"_blank\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Looks like Facebook might be the most up-to-date presence<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Over in Apex, <strong>Eggs Up Grill<\/strong>, a breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, opened yesterday at\u00a01421 Kelly Road in the <strong>Publix Pointe Shopping Center<\/strong>. The restaurant is the first for\u00a0franchise partners <strong>Chris <\/strong>and <strong>Krystal Nichols<\/strong>. The opening menu showcases a melting pot of flavors from Asia while featuring North Carolina&#8217;s local bounty. Franklin Street). As the date moved, she stayed on top of it. It is official now. (Anyone else ever wondered why there isn&#8217;t an &#8220;e&#8221; in Ashville Avenue in Cary?) O&#8217;No! That also means there are no more <strong>O&#8217;Charley&#8217;s<\/strong> locations in the Triangle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A posting on the <strong>Chapel Hill Carrboro Foodies Facebook<\/strong> group noted that <strong>New China<\/strong> on Farrington Road in Durham (think Mardi Gras bowling alley) has closed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Food Trucks<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A Place at the Table&nbsp;<\/strong>announced their second annual <strong>Pay-What-You-Can Food Truck Rodeo<\/strong> on <strong>Sunday, June 4<\/strong> from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This fun-filled community day will consist of delicious meals, refreshments, and desserts from a variety of food trucks including: <strong>Q-spresso<\/strong>, <strong>Interfaith Food Shuttle: The Spinning Plate<\/strong>, <strong>Bulkogi<\/strong>, <strong>Magdalena\u2019s Chimney Cakes<\/strong>, <strong>Locopops<\/strong>, <strong>AMPM Burritos<\/strong>, <strong>Season It Up Vegan<\/strong>, <strong>Aries Dish Delivered<\/strong>, and <strong>Goodness GraceUs<\/strong>.
