Impress your co-workers at the water cooler.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Featured Restaurant News<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Got word this week that chef-owner <strong>Ford Fry<\/strong> is opening <strong>Little Rey<\/strong>, a Tex-Mex inspired, counter-service taco spot centered around its \u201cal carbon\u201d cooking, in the <strong>Raleigh Iron Works<\/strong> development along Atlantic Avenue at Whitaker Mill Road.<strong> Chef Fry<\/strong> opened his first Triangle location, <strong>Superica<\/strong>, in Cary\u2019s <strong>Fenton<\/strong> development last year. He is expected to open <strong>Little Rey<\/strong> in 2024 and will be his second location &#8212; the concept&#8217;s original location is in Atlanta\u2019s Piedmont Heights neighborhood. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.littlerey.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Start getting familiar with them here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported that a new watering hole has opened on downtown Raleigh&#8217;s Hillsborough Street. <strong>Stonewalls Tavern<\/strong> opened this past Wednesday in the former <strong>Green Monkey<\/strong> spot at 1217 Hillsborough Street (<strong>Green Monkey<\/strong> moved to 215 S. Wilmington Street). The new bar will serve cocktails, beer and wine, but will not have a kitchen nor food offerings. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stonewallstavern.com\/\">Check out Stonewalls here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Village District <\/strong>shared a quick update this week announcing that the much-anticipated <strong>Shake Shack<\/strong> is expected to open next month. They will be located next to <strong>The Flying Biscuit<\/strong> and just down from <strong>Cape Fear Seafood Company<\/strong> (corner of Woodburn and Clark). If you are not familiar with them, they are a fast food American restaurant chain, specializing in hot dogs, burgers, fries, and milkshakes. They currently have locations in Cary, Chapel Hill and at PNC Arena in Raleigh. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shakeshack.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Get to know them here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reader<strong> Katie Page<\/strong> notified us that there is a &#8220;coming soon&#8221; sign in North Raleigh for a <strong>Mr. Dong Yaxi Tea<\/strong> at Wakefield Crossing (13200 Falls of Neuse, Suite 133). Looks like there is a location in New York. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mrdongyaxitea.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Check them out here<\/strong><\/a>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Rita\u2019s Italian Ice<\/strong> fans rejoice! The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> shared this week that the popular dessert spot will make its Triangle-area return to 921 N. Harrison Ave. in the <strong>Northwoods Shopping Center<\/strong> (former <strong>Subway<\/strong> spot) in Cary. They are known for their various flavors of Italian Ice (\u201cwater ice\u201d) and frozen custard. The concept previously had locations in both Raleigh and Cary (both have closed). No word yet on an open date. There is still a stand at <strong>Durham Bulls Athletic Park<\/strong>. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ritasice.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Visit Rita&#8217;s here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Out at RDU, <strong>Triangle Business Journal <\/strong>shared that <strong>Bond Brothers\u2019<\/strong> new brewpub will open in Terminal 2 in the first quarter of 2024. This location will have a more extensive food menu than what was originally planned. In addition to wine and cocktail options, it will have eight taps of Bond Brothers\u2019 beer. <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bondbrothersbeer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Visit Bond Brothers here<\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In case you haven&#8217;t heard, <strong>Big Mike&#8217;s BBQ<\/strong> out of Cary (1222 NW Maynard Road) is bringing their goodness to Pittsboro. They will be opening a restaurant in what used to be the Mexican restaurant(s) in the True Value shopping center.
