Beyond the 60-seat restaurant, the Hargett Street building also holds an event space called <strong>The Bridge Club<\/strong>, a basement bar and wine cellar. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/ac-restaurants.com\/death-taxes\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Get a peek at it here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Big news was announced last Friday (on National Donut Day nonetheless) that <strong>Rise Biscuits and Donuts <\/strong>will be opening a new franchise location in Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Cameron Village<\/strong> in the fall of 2015! They also announced that the Morrisville location (<strong>Park West Village<\/strong>) is looking at a late summer opening. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/risebiscuitsdonuts.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Check out Rise here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> announced this week that <strong>MOD Pizza<\/strong>, a Seattle-based build-your-own-pizza concept, is opening its first Triangle restaurant at 2071 Millbrook Road, in the new Harris Teeter-anchored shopping center at the corner of Millbrook and Creedmoor roads in Raleigh. Look for them to open in July. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/modpizza.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Get a peek at them here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>No more just movies and popcorn. <strong>Cobb Theaters<\/strong> announced this week that construction is underway at its newest <strong>Cin\u00e9Bistro<\/strong> location at <strong>Waverly Place<\/strong> in Cary. <strong>Cin\u00e9Bistro<\/strong> offers a world-class &#8220;dinner-and-a-movie&#8221; experience featuring a chef-run kitchen offering creative American bistro cuisine and full in-theatre service. You can also &#8220;wine and dine&#8221; there even if you aren&#8217;t coming to the movie. Look for them to open late summer. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/cinebistro.com\/waverly\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Get a look at them here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham County Restaurant News<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The guys over at <strong>Mateo Tapas<\/strong> (<strong>Matt Kelly<\/strong> and <strong>Josh Decarolis<\/strong>) announced this week their newest project &#8211; <strong>Mothers &amp; Sons<\/strong>, an Italian trattoria located right next to <strong>Mateo<\/strong> at 107 West Chapel Hill Street &#8211; will open this fall. Follow them <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/motherssonsnc\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">on Twitter here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. In the meantime, you can also <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/mateotapas.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">check out Mateo here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>This week my friends over at <strong>Bean Trader&#8217;s<\/strong> in Durham provided an update on their expansion. While it has been slow to unfold, things are starting to roll and it will be well worth the wait (think made-from-scratch waffles, a large centrally located bar, an alternative brew bar, new gender neutral bathrooms (and a family room) and two new registers for quicker check out and shorter lines). All very exciting. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/us6.campaign-archive1.com\/?u=8a13260666ff5e926dc34bc82&amp;id=8ecc422677\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">You can get all the details on their expansion here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>We had already told you that the folks behind the food truck <strong>Porchetta<\/strong> have opened a &#8220;brick and mortar&#8221; location at the food court at the <strong>Streets at Southpoint<\/strong> in Durham. Now, the <strong>News &amp; Observer&#8217;s Andrea Weigl<\/strong> has informed me that the food truck <strong>American Meltdown<\/strong> will move in &#8220;a few doors down&#8221; from that location. Look for them to open in early September. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/americanmeltdown.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A quick shout out to <strong>Allen &amp; Son Barbecue<\/strong> in Chapel Hill. They were named the best barbecue joint in the South by <strong>Southern Living magazine<\/strong>, putting them at the top of an impressive list of 50 of the best Southern barbecue restaurants. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.southernliving.com\/travel\/bbq-restaurants\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">See the full list here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Jersey Mike&#8217;s Subs<\/strong> has opened its third Durham location, this one at 7005 Fayetteville Road in the <strong>Renaissance Center at Southpoint<\/strong>. This marks the 27th <strong>Jersey Mike&#8217;s<\/strong> in the Triangle, according to the company&#8217;s website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chowhounder Durhamois<\/strong> tipped me off to the fact that a new pho restaurant has opened (apparently it has been open for a number of months) at 2806 S Miami Blvd in Durham. It is called <strong>Bowl of Pho<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/bowlofphodurham.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Just a reminder that<strong> Il Palio<\/strong> restaurant in Chapel Hill&#8217;s <strong>Siena Hotel<\/strong> will close for major renovations this summer. They plan to close on June 15 and reopen on August 15th after close to $700,000 in renovations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Closings<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>None to report this week! The next <strong>Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo<\/strong> is this Sunday (<strong>June 14th<\/strong>) from 1-6 p.m. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.downtownraleighfoodtruckrodeo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Get all the details here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The next <strong>Durham Central Park Food Truck Rodeo<\/strong> is the extremely popular (aren&#8217;t they all popular?) They will introduce themselves this weekend as they are set up at <strong>XL Soccer World<\/strong> all weekend from 4 pm until midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Next Saturday (<strong>June 20<\/strong>), the <strong>North Carolina Museum of Art<\/strong> will show the movie <strong>Chef<\/strong> as part of their outdoor movie series.
