Chapel Hill Street), announced this week that &#8220;<strong>the Rooftop<\/strong>&#8221; is officially open. Local food blogger <strong>David McCreary<\/strong> (aka <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lunchboysays.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Lunch Boy Says<\/a><\/span><\/strong>) informed me that<strong> Amedeo&#8217;s Italian Restaurant<\/strong> owner<strong> David Harris<\/strong> will open <strong>Amedeo&#8217;s Pizza<\/strong> at <strong>Beaver Creek shopping center<\/strong> in Apex in October, 2015. We will keep an eye on an exact opening date. In the meantime, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amedeosrestaurant.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">visit Amedeo&#8217;s here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In case you were under a rock, the 2nd location of <strong>Big Ed&#8217;s<\/strong> has opened in north Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Quail Corners shopping center<\/strong>. 180 seats and lots of parking; sounds like a win-win for Raleigh! <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bigedscitymarket.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Over in Morrisville, saw in the <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> that <strong>Bawarchi Biryani Point Indian Cuisine<\/strong> (9601 Chapel Hill Road) has opened simultaneously with an Indian supermarket called Spices Hut in the <strong>Park Place shopping center<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/bawarchimorrisville.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in Morrisville, we will have one more Indian option by the end of the month, if all goes according to plan. Look for <strong>Masala Wrap<\/strong>, at 9825-F Chapel Hill Road. The counter service restaurant will offer a selection of wraps, salads and rice bowls with an East-West fusion twist that partner <strong>Kunal Prikh<\/strong> says will be an entirely new concept for the Triangle. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/masalawrap\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Check them out on Facebook here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And if that is not enough Indian cuisine for you, the <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> also reported that <strong>Nazara Indian Bistro<\/strong> (which we first told you about back in June) has opened at 1945 High House Road in Cary. Friends <strong>Mangal Singh<\/strong> and <strong>Shatman Singh<\/strong> are the owners. They are shooting for an <strong>August 17<\/strong> opening (pending inspections). Patel<\/strong> and <strong>Eschelon Experiences<\/strong> will bring us in the space they have leased on the ground floor of that building. Hmmmmm. Any guesses? Founded in Chicago in 1990, <strong>Bar Louie<\/strong> features 34 signature martinis, mojitos and margaritas, as well as appetizers, flatbreads, salads, burgers and sandwiches. Main St. in Durham. And we just saw on the blog <strong>Bites of Bull City<\/strong> that chef\/owner <strong>Shawn Stokes<\/strong> plans to open before the end of this month. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/lunarotisserie.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Check out their website here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And we learned from the <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> and the <strong>Herald Sun<\/strong> that <strong>Beyu Caffee<\/strong> in downtown Durham is moving two doors down, from 335 W. Main St. to 341 W. The new management of the <strong>Berkeley Cafe<\/strong> (<strong>Lisa Lewis, Alex Little and Shonna Greenwell<\/strong>) announced that they will be hosting <strong>&#8220;Takeover Tuesdays&#8221;<\/strong> where they will &#8220;hand over&#8221; the <strong>Berkeley<\/strong> to a food truck operator to take their shot at running a &#8220;brick and mortar&#8221; location. The fun starts this Tuesday (<strong>Aug. 11<\/strong>) with <strong>Sol Tacos<\/strong> offering their southern influenced gourmet tacos. Saturday&#8217;s lunch will feature live music; dinner service will include specials such as lamb kebobs, complementary birthday cake and 88-cent baklava. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation in recognition of <strong>Cecilia&#8217;s<\/strong> enduring good health as a breast cancer survivor. The festival\u00a0will feature over\u00a060 breweries from\u00a0across the state and beyond, more food trucks than last year with at least\u00a020 trucks. At the sampling session, a dozen brewers will offer unique creations fitting the museum&#8217;s natural science focus. This option will encourage patrons to visit a different restaurant for each course on a tantalizing tour of downtown dining. So the recent events there hit pretty close to home. So on Sunday, <strong>August 23rd<\/strong> he will host a chef collaboration event called <strong>North Cooks South<\/strong> to raise money for the <strong>Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church<\/strong> in Charleston. Joining <strong>Harris<\/strong> will be Charleston&#8217;s<strong> Daniel Doyle<\/strong> (<strong>Poogan&#8217;s Porch<\/strong>), Charlotte&#8217;s <strong>Chris Coleman<\/strong> (<strong>The Asbury\/Dunhill Hotel<\/strong>) and Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Scott James<\/strong> (executive sous chef at<strong> The Angus Barn<\/strong>).
