In addition to the movies, it features a chef-run kitchen offering creative American Bistro cuisine and full in-theatre service. We\u2019ll keep an eye on it. Thanks <strong>David<\/strong>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> was the first to report this week that <strong>Song Choe<\/strong> has opened <strong>Golden Pig<\/strong>, a restaurant specializing in the cuisine of her native Korea, in Cary at 815 W. Chatham Street. We couldn\u2019t find a website, but the initial reviews <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/golden-pig-korean-cuisine-cary\" target=\"_blank\">on Yelp<\/a><\/span><\/strong> are extremely strong!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And staying in Cary, we got word this week from <strong>Diane Pisano<\/strong> that <strong>East Garden Restaurant<\/strong> is \u201cComing Soon\u201d to the same strip center on Walnut Street as the recently opened <strong>Egg &amp; I<\/strong>. No word yet on an open date, but we\u2019ll keep an eye on it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Over in Wake Forest, <strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Gooey\u2019s American Grille<\/strong> officially opened on August 17th at 950 Gateway Commons Circle. Their website isn\u2019t up yet, but you can check them out <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GooeysAmericanGrille?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\">on Facebook here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Just up the road in Rolesville, got word from <strong>WRAL<\/strong> that owner <strong>Vanessa Minopoli<\/strong> opened <strong>Bakery La Dolce Vita<\/strong> last Saturday at 112 Southtown Circle. The bakery offers a tasty assortment of pastries, muffins, croissants, danishes, black and whites and other baked goods. You can learn a little bit more about them <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/rolesvillebuzz.com\/feature\/business-briefs-september-2015\/\" target=\"_blank\">at the Rolesville Buzz<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in Rolesville, got word from <strong>WRAL<\/strong> that the folks that once brought us <strong>Cannizzaro\u2019s<\/strong> (<strong>Alex &amp; Gina Cannizzaro<\/strong>), have returned to the Rolesville food scene with a concept called <strong>Pie-Zano\u2019s<\/strong> located at 252 Southtown Circle. From what we are hearing, the menu is nearly identical to <strong>Cannizzaro\u2019s<\/strong>). <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Pie-Zanos-Pizzeria\/1650567261828566?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\">Visit their Facebook page here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Over in Holly Springs, the <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported that <strong>Mama Bird&#8217;s Cookies &amp; Cream<\/strong>, a old-fashioned mobile ice cream and cookie cart, is opening a permanent shop at 501 Raleigh St. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mamabirdsicecream.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And finally, a big congratulations to Raleigh\u2019s <strong>Cloud Brewing<\/strong>, the cool self-pour brew house (with great food too!) at 126 N. West Street in downtown Raleigh, as they celebrate their <strong>one-year anniversary<\/strong> with a big party on <strong>September 12th<\/strong> (<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cloudsbrewing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">get all the details on their website here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>). But they are not resting on their laurels&#8230;just the opposite. By year\u2019s end, they should have their new brewery location (a 15 barrel brewery) open in North Raleigh. And they just announced that they have signed a letter of intent to open location number two in <strong>Brightleaf Square<\/strong> off Main Street in downtown Durham. I\u2019ll drink to that! Cheers!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham County Restaurant News<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Daily Tar Heel<\/strong> broke the news this week that the space formerly occupied by <strong>Caribou Coffee<\/strong> on West Franklin Street (right in front of <strong>He\u2019s Not Here<\/strong>) will become the newest <strong>Moe\u2019s Southwest Grill<\/strong>. They are looking to open in early November.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Help <strong>Nzinga\u2019s Caf\u00e9<\/strong> celebrate their first anniversary by enjoying <strong>a free waffle<\/strong> anytime today (<strong>September 4<\/strong>) from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. They are located in the <strong>Phoenix Crossing shopping center<\/strong> at at 826 Fayetteville Street. <strong>Nzinga\u2019s Cafe<\/strong> is in-town Durham\u2019s newest breakfast\/brunch cafe. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nzingasbreakfastcafe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word from <strong>Jennifer Solomon<\/strong> that Hillsborough is getting a new meat market called <strong>Bacon Meat Market<\/strong>. It will be located at the corner of N. Churton and Corbin Street. Word on the street is they are looking for a new location. We will keep you posted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word from <strong>John Huisman<\/strong> that the <strong>Sal\u2019s Pizza<\/strong> in Durham (on Highway 55 near the intersection with Highway 54) is closing their doors on <strong>September 11th<\/strong>. There is still time to get by and get one more pie before Joe rides off into retirement!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And we learned that, after opening in June, 2014, Cary\u2019s <strong>Tribute Pizza<\/strong>, over in <strong>MacGregor Village<\/strong>, has closed their doors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Food Trucks<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>The newest food truck on the scene in the Triangle comes from the folks at <strong>Rare Earth Farms<\/strong>. They grow the beef locally on their farm and serve that from the food truck. And I hear the fries are pretty good as well. You can find them parked behind <strong>C. Grace<\/strong> (407 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh). <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RareEarthFarms\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out on Facebook here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also, <strong>John Huisman<\/strong> (aka <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/triangleexplorer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Triangle Explorer<\/a><\/span><\/strong>) informed me about the fact that every Thursday from September through November, the <strong>Town of Knightdale<\/strong> is hosting <strong>&#8220;Food Truck Thursdays&#8221;<\/strong> with a new food truck scheduled each week. The festival\u00a0will feature over\u00a060 breweries from\u00a0across the state and beyond, more food trucks than last year with at least\u00a020 trucks.
