We had shared that the owners of\u00a0<strong>City Market Sushi<\/strong>\u00a0will open a new spot in former<strong>\u00a0Kaiju<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>The Darby<\/strong>\u00a0location (170 E Davie St.) next to former\u00a0<strong>Oak City Meatball Shoppe<\/strong>\u00a0on Davie Street. At the time we knew that they would be offering fast casual ramen and sushi. Thanks to the <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong>, we now know it will be called <strong>Daijoubu<\/strong>, which takes its name from a Japanese expression for \u201cIt\u2019s alright.\u201d The menu will focus on various Japanese noodles, specifically bowls of porky, tonkotsu style ramen and brothless mazeman ramn. Look for them to open later this summer, possibly in August. Might be best to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/citymarketsushi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">follow City Market on Instagram<\/mark><\/a><\/strong> for upcoming announcements from owner <strong>Jin Chang<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have some good news to share. A little while back we shared that <strong>Papa\u2019s Pizza<\/strong> in Raleigh on Leadmine Road (<strong>Greystone Village<\/strong> in between <strong>Gonzas<\/strong> and <strong>Bottle Rev<\/strong>) is closing at the end of the month when their lease runs out. <strong>Michael DePersia<\/strong> of <strong>DePersia &amp; Associates<\/strong> just shared the good news with me that <strong>Johnny\u2019s Pizza<\/strong> has signed a lease there and will fill the space after a few months of renovations. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/johnnyspizzanc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit Johnny&#8217;s on Instagram here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Otomi Comida y Cocteles<\/strong>, which took over the former <strong>Brookside Bodega<\/strong> spot in Historic Oakwood, will celebrate their grand opening (albeit they are already, and have been, open) on <strong>July 19th<\/strong>. <strong>Otomi<\/strong> is a collaboration between <strong>Irregardless&#8217;s<\/strong> owner <strong>Lee Robinson<\/strong> and <strong>Juan Carlos Lugo<\/strong>, the restaurant&#8217;s former executive chef who had worked there for 11 years. The grand opening celebration will be 6-9 p.m. on <strong>Friday, July 19<\/strong> with live music as well as menu and drink specials. Called <strong>OG Prime Steakhouse<\/strong>, it will be located at the corner of Linksland Dr. and Holly Springs Road. They described it as a fine dining restaurant with \u201cold New York Gatsby\u201d style. Look for them to open in the fall of 2025. In the meantime, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osteriag.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">visit Osteria G here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And some big news out of Chapel Hill&#8217;s Franklin Street on what everyone kinda guessed once it was announced that the <strong>Starbucks<\/strong>, located next to <strong>Raising Cane\u2019s<\/strong>, would move across the street. Yes, <strong>Raising Cane\u2019s<\/strong> will &#8220;spread out&#8221; into the <strong>Starbucks<\/strong> space. <strong>Starbucks<\/strong> should be in their new space by the time the students return this fall, and then the expansion work will begin. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Out in the RTP portion of Durham, <strong>Margaret &#8220;Gosia&#8221; Szewczyk<\/strong> of <strong>Chef Chick&#8217;s Bakery<\/strong> has started a GoFundMe page to help take her bakery to the next level by creating funds for additional equipment and staff. That location has been approved for two high-rise towers. They did leave the door open for a &#8220;new chapter&#8221; saying, &#8220;we just have to go away for a while and dream it all up again.&#8221; So&#8230;stay tuned!?!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Out in RTP, after nearly three years, <strong>Beyu Caff\u00e9<\/strong> is winding down operations at its <strong>Boxyard RTP<\/strong> location with the last day being July 16.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Got word this week that <strong>Trolly Stop Hot Dogs<\/strong> at 104 W. Franklin Street in Chapel Hill has closed. <strong>Wester Auction &amp; Realty<\/strong> is holding an auction of the contents of the restaurant. This is a fundraiser to support the county Welcome Center which sees over 3,000 visitors annually and is not supported through any government source.
