According to <strong>TBJ<\/strong>, <strong>Naos<\/strong> will emphasize seafood and fish, large cuts of lamb and beef and a variety of slow-braised dishes cooked in clay pots. The restaurant will also serve a variety of vegetable dishes and mezethes, or small plates. Look for them to open this October. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.giorgiosgroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Keep up with Bakatsias (if you can) here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>! <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> shared this week that <strong>Epic Chophouse<\/strong> will open this year in Raleigh\u2019s <strong>Brier Creek Commons Shopping Center<\/strong> (8551 Brier Creek Pkwy.). This will be the fourth location for the concept that was founded in Mooresville, North Carolina, in 2010. While they are known for their steaks (which are aged for at least 35 days), there are other meat options, including the Lowcountry pork chop, a breaded and pan-fried, 14-ounce, bone-in chop with red eye gravy, served with grits. <strong>Epic<\/strong> also serves chicken and seafood dishes. And we&#8217;d be remiss if we didn&#8217;t mention an offering nicknamed by customers as \u201ccrack toast\u201d &#8212; it is a toasted baguette topped with a four-cheese spread. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/epicchophouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Start getting familiar with them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You have no doubt heard about all the changes coming to the area around the <strong>Lenovo Center<\/strong> (formerly <strong>PNC Arena<\/strong>) &#8211; very, very exciting. But the most immediate change that will take place was shared this week in the <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong>. Gale Force Sports &amp; Entertainment is readying the former <strong>Backyard Bistro<\/strong> to reopen as <strong>The Local<\/strong> at 1235 Hurricane Alley Way across Trinity Road from the arena and Carter-Finley Stadium. The new restaurant is aiming to open in time for the Canes&#8217; home opener on Oct. 11th. They hinted that it will still feature the barbecue that people enjoyed at <strong>Backyard Bistro<\/strong> but will have a &#8220;more elevated menu for fans to enjoy.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Good news this week in Apex as my Twitter (X) buddy @<strong>Burgeoningbaker<\/strong> shared with me that <strong>Utica Bakery<\/strong> is returning to their old home. If you are not familiar with them, they are an authentic artisan bakery specializing in hand-crafted European\/Italian pastries and baked goods\u2026both savory and sweet! Looks like they are aiming for a November return to 430 Upchurch Street. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/uticabakery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Might be best to follow along on Instagram here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We got word this week that restaurateurs <strong>Luke Simmons<\/strong> and <strong>David Harris<\/strong> are opening a location of <strong>Slim Chickens<\/strong> next <strong>Monday, September 16th<\/strong> in Smithfield at 1311 N Brightleaf Blvd. <strong>Slim Chickens <\/strong>opened in 2003 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with a focus on fresh, delicious food with a southern flair in a fast-casual setting. Word has it that owner <strong>Rick Perales<\/strong> is working on a commemorative t-shirt that you can purchase as a keepsake. They shared that <strong>The Purple Bowl<\/strong>, an a\u00e7ai bowl eatery and caf\u00e9, has completed their relocation a couple of blocks further down Franklin Street to 505 West Franklin Street. They first opened in 2017 at 306 W. Franklin, but development plans forced them to look for a new home. The move gives them a larger space and an outdoor space they are calling <strong>The Patio<\/strong> which will serve as an outdoor programming space and handle customers walking up to a service window.
