Seems like just yesterday we were telling you about <strong>Big Boom<\/strong> coming to Raleigh\u2019s <strong>Glenwood South<\/strong>. Well, they closed in early September, and now, just over a month later, <strong>Bobby Glass<\/strong> and <strong>Schaefer O\u2019Neill<\/strong> have converted the space and opened <strong>510 Tavern<\/strong>. That\u2019s impressive. Actually, that\u2019s 32 days thanks to a great write-up by<strong> Lisa Jeffries<\/strong> in <strong>Downtown Raleigh News &amp; Events<\/strong>. They opened this past Wednesday. They have additional locations in North Raleigh, Wake Forest and Durham. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gonzatacosytequila.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Heard from <strong>David Harris<\/strong>, owner of <strong>Remington Grill<\/strong> in Cary and Raleigh\u2019s <strong>Amedeo\u2019s<\/strong>, that the Apex location of <strong>Amedeo\u2019s<\/strong>, <strong>Amedeo\u2019s Pizza<\/strong>, officially opened this past Tuesday in the <strong>Beaver Creek Crossings<\/strong> shopping center. Looks like <strong>November 13th<\/strong> will be the day we get to see the latest from the folks that already brought us <strong>The Oak<\/strong> and <strong>Taste<\/strong>. Their newest concept will open at 116 N. West Street in the old <strong>Mantra<\/strong> location and will be a unique European inspired small plate concept. To really get your mouth watering, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jmrkitchens.com\/more\/\" target=\"_blank\">check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported this week that a new beer and wine shop, <strong>Pelagic Beer &amp; Wine<\/strong>, is coming to the Mordecai district in downtown Raleigh at 300 Pace St. (corner of Pace and Person streets). The shop is targeting an opening in late November or early December. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pelagicbeerandwine.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">You can check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And finally, we have a restaurant that needs your help. Back in August, <strong>The Belgian-Filippo\u2019s<\/strong> opened in the former <strong>Quality Grocery<\/strong> space at 701 E. Lane Street in downtown Raleigh. On October 18th, they were told they could no longer operate in that space as a restaurant (they are still doing take-out and catering). Now they are asking for help to fulfill their dream of opening a restaurant here, something they successfully did in Belgium. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheBelgian1\/posts\/927209314001463\" target=\"_blank\">Read their plea here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham County Restaurant News<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>We first told you about this in June, but the <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> reported this week that the owners of Durham\u2019s <strong>Pulcinella\u2019s Italian Restaurant<\/strong> (in the <strong>Woodcroft Shopping Center<\/strong>) have opened their sister location, <strong>Magone Italian Grill &amp; Pizza<\/strong> in Chapel Hill\u2019s <strong>Timberlyne<\/strong> shopping center in the space formerly occupied by <strong>PizzaVito<\/strong>. They don\u2019t have a website yet, but you can find them <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Magone-Italian-Grill-Pizza-820280674717655\/\" target=\"_blank\">on Facebook here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Bottle 501<\/strong>, a new beer and wine shop that describes itself as &#8220;upscale,&#8221; has opened at Durham&#8217;s <strong>Gateway Terrace<\/strong> shopping center on U.S. 15-501 between Durham and Chapel Hill. The rodeo will have 50 food trucks and Caique Vidal &amp; Batuque performing. That\u2019s right, the folks over in Cary are hosting their annual <strong>Triangle Chili Challenge<\/strong> on <strong>Sunday, November 8th<\/strong> from noon to 4 p.m. The event is sponsored by the <strong>Town of Cary<\/strong> with partners <strong>Heart of Cary<\/strong>, and <strong>Downtown Cary Food &amp; Flea<\/strong>. Join them for chili tasting, live music, craft beer &amp; wine, a raffle and a chance to meet some of the best chefs in the Triangle! On <strong>November 8<\/strong>, from 12-4 p.m. our 5 restaurant partners will be preparing their pork-inspired dishes in small plates for you to enjoy &#8211; all of the pork is provided by <strong>Green Button Farm<\/strong>, a humane, certified organic, non-GMO farm. Each small plate will have a sample of wine to match that will be specifically chosen by <strong>The Wine Feed<\/strong>.
