They&#8217;ll also be serving up meals at some of your favorite restaurants. To find out where they&#8217;ll be, check out <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newsobserver.com\/living\/food-drink\/mouthful-blog\/article48323395.html\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">the News &amp; Observer&#8217;s list<\/a><\/span><\/strong> of restaurants open on Christmas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><strong>Lisa and Mounir Saleh<\/strong>, and their two oldest daughters, <strong>Noelle and Simone<\/strong>, just yesterday opened a second location of <strong>Sassool Mediterranean Cafe<\/strong> in Cary&#8217;s <strong>Shoppes of Kildaire<\/strong>, just a few doors down from Trader Joe&#8217;s. So excited for them and their success! <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sassool.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Visit them here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Well this is sad and exciting all at the same time! The original owners of<strong> Maximillian&#8217;s Grill<\/strong> over in Cary have sold their restaurant to two of their employees &#8211; <strong>Will <\/strong>and<strong> Margie Hennessey<\/strong>. The restaurant originally opened in 1991 and moved to its current location on Chapel Hill Road in 2002. The <strong>Schiffer&#8217;s<\/strong> last day will be December 31st and then the <strong>Hennessey&#8217;s<\/strong> plan to close the restaurant for updates for about a month, before reopening on February 1st. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.maximilliansgrill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 Our best to <strong>Michael <\/strong>and<strong> Gayle Schiffer<\/strong> as they ride off into the sunset of retirement&#8230;at the beach! Thanks to the <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> and my friend <strong>Amy Leonard<\/strong> for keeping me posted on this development.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>We told you about this back in September, but reader <strong>Michelle Hillison<\/strong> informed me this week that <strong>Brad Barbour&#8217;s Shuckin&#8217; Shack Oyster Bar<\/strong>, originally hoping to open in December, will open the first week in January in Cary&#8217;s <strong>Preston Corners<\/strong> in the old <strong>Caribou Coffee<\/strong> location. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theshuckinshack.com\/location\/loc\/cary\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Also in Cary, we are getting closer and closer to the opening of <strong>The Mayton Inn<\/strong>, a new boutique hotel coming to Academy Street in Cary by the same folks (<strong>Colin <\/strong>and<strong> Deanna Crossman<\/strong>) behind the <strong>King&#8217;s Daughters Inn<\/strong> in Durham. But more exciting to me will be chef <strong>Jeff Gomper&#8217;s<\/strong> menu from <strong>The Verandah<\/strong>. I&#8217;m getting a sneak peek at it in January, so the opening can&#8217;t be far off! <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/maytoninn.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Check it out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Reader <strong>Rebecca Calhoun<\/strong> tipped me off to the fact that there is a new comfort food restaurant in <strong>Litchford Village Plaza<\/strong> in Raleigh called <strong>Milow&#8217;s<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/milows.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><strong>James Borden&#8217;s Raleigh Public Record <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/raleighpublicrecord.org\/news\/2015\/12\/07\/development-beat-51\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">blog<\/a><\/span><\/strong> uncovered a fun update near the intersection of Six Forks and Wake Forest Road. A takeout only restaurant called <strong>Gorilla Grille Carry Out<\/strong> is moving into the Shell gas station at 210 E. Six Forks Road. No word on a timeline nor whether it will impact the <strong>Dunkin&#8217; Donuts<\/strong> currently operating there.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>A quick update from the folks over at <strong>The Twisted Fork<\/strong> in north Raleigh, thanks to a posting on <strong>Yelp<\/strong>. They noted that things are moving along nicely with the reconstruction as well as a few new features to the restaurant. They also noted they are still shooting for a January re-opening. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/thetwistedfork.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Stay tuned here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Also on <strong>Yelp<\/strong>, it looks like the <strong>Carolina Wings Company<\/strong> in <strong>Stonehenge Shopping Center<\/strong> has closed, but will re-open in January under new ownership as <strong>Stonehenge Tavern<\/strong>. We were able to confirm a corporate registration with that name in October with the Secretary of State&#8217;s office. Stay tuned!<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Down in Garner, got a press release that <strong>Blaze Pizza<\/strong> will open its newest location next Thursday, <strong>December 17<\/strong> at 11 am.<strong> Blaze<\/strong> is located at 140 Cabela Drive. This marks the second <strong>Blaze Pizza<\/strong> location in the Triangle and statewide. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.blazepizza.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\">Get more details here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham County Restaurant News<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The taste of Argentina is coming to the Triangle, more specifically southwest Durham, in a matter of days. <strong>Makus Empanadas<\/strong>, located in Durham&#8217;s <strong>Hope Valley Commons<\/strong> shopping center, is shooting for a <strong>December 21st opening<\/strong> of their brick and mortar operation.
