Impress your co-workers at the water cooler.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Featured Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0<strong>Rocky Top Hospitality<\/strong> owner <strong>Dean Ogan<\/strong> announced that <strong>Twisted Fork<\/strong> restaurant and bakery will reopen with updated d\u00e9cor and an enhanced menu on Sunday, <strong>January 24<\/strong> at 11 a.m. <strong>Twisted Fork<\/strong>, located at 3751 Sumner Boulevard, in the <strong>Triangle Towne Center Commons<\/strong>, has been closed since August 2015 due to a fire. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/thetwistedfork.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><strong>New Raleigh<\/strong> reported this week that after a successful soft opening of <strong>Cafe Helios<\/strong> on Glenwood South in downtown Raleigh, the popular coffee house will (re)open to the public <strong>next Monday<\/strong> (unless the weather throws a kink in the works). <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cafehelios\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get the latest on their Facebook page here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><strong>Crisp Bar &amp; Restaurant<\/strong> opened this past Tuesday at 222 Glenwood Avenue in downtown Raleigh. <strong>Crisp<\/strong> features salads and wraps and soups, all featuring the very freshest ingredients. They also have a location in <strong>Crabtree Valley Mall<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.crispnc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>We are getting closer to the opening of the second Raleigh location of <strong>b.good<\/strong>. The first opened in <strong>North Hills<\/strong>, and the second will open in the new <strong>Charter Square<\/strong> building on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh. <strong>Art Sheppard<\/strong> noticed they had posted a \u201cnow hiring\u201d message on their Facebook page. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bgooddowntownRAL\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>This is going to be a fun one to look forward to. It will be the fall before we get to enjoy the goodness of a gluten free bakery and coffeehouse called <strong>Connected Bakery<\/strong>. On their Facebook page they list their address as 2305 Wake Forest Road (but I\u2019m not convinced that will be their actual location). <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.connectedgf.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 Thanks to <strong>WRAL<\/strong> for the tip on this venture.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Also, got word from <strong>Ashton Mae Smith<\/strong> that downtown Raleigh\u2019s <strong>Five Star<\/strong>, located at 511 W. Hargett Street, is discontinuing their lunch hours effective&#8230;last week. But starting next Monday, they will begin opening at 3 p.m. Late lunch? <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fivestarraleigh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Thanks to a tip on Twitter from <strong>@stubbleriffic<\/strong>, we learned that another location of <strong>Bada Wings<\/strong> is going into the former <strong>Vincent\u2019s<\/strong> location on 6300 Creedmoor Road in the <strong>Lynnwood Collection shopping center<\/strong>. Haven\u2019t seen an open date, and couldn\u2019t find any website or Facebook page. We\u2019ll keep an eye on it.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Over in Cary, the <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported that the popular, Austin, Texas-based Tex Mex restaurant chain <strong>Chuy&#8217;s<\/strong> has confirmed plans to open its second stand-alone restaurant &#8211; this one at the <strong>Parkside Town Commons<\/strong> retail center in west Cary. According to <strong>James Fisher<\/strong>, they are shooting to be open by March of this year. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chuys.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check out Chuys here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham County Restaurant News<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word from my friends over at <strong>Bites of Bull City<\/strong> that a new coffee shop called <strong>George\u2019s Java<\/strong> is expected to open very soon at 764 9th Street in Durham. It is owned by <strong>Terry and Debbie Metts<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/georgesjava.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Thanks to reader <strong>Diana Harker<\/strong> we learned that things are getting closer to the opening of <strong>Treforni<\/strong> (early February) in the <strong>Hope Valley Commons shopping center<\/strong> at the intersection of Hwy. 54 and 751 in Durham. <strong>Terforni<\/strong> touts that they are known for producing authentic pizza Napoletana and the finest beers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Closings<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>What we do know is that <strong>Latitudes Fine Food &amp; Spirits<\/strong> in Knightdale is currently closed. What is not 100% confirmed is whether it is permanent or temporary. We will keep an eye on it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Food Trucks<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>The first <strong>Durham Central Park food truck rodeo<\/strong>, appropriately named Winter Rodeo, <strong>has been postponed<\/strong> due to the snow from this Sunday to Sunday, <strong>January 31<\/strong>. Same time, from 12-4 at <strong>Durham Central Park<\/strong> and will feature 50+ trucks. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/durhamcentralpark.org\/events\/food-truck-rodeo-info\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get all the details here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>The <strong>Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo<\/strong> has announced its dates for this year: <strong>May 1, June 12, Aug. 7 and Oct. 9<\/strong>. Ballentine Street) as part of the <strong>4<\/strong><strong>th<\/strong><strong> Annual Community Arts Festival<\/strong>.
