The team includes <strong>Angela Salamanca<\/strong> and <strong>Marshall Davis<\/strong>, who are behind such eateries and bars as <strong>Centro<\/strong> and <strong>Gallo Pel\u00f3n Mezcaleria<\/strong> in Raleigh and <strong>Ex-Voto<\/strong> and <strong>Patty Boy<\/strong> in Durham; and chefs <strong>Eric Montagne<\/strong> and <strong>Zack Gragg,<\/strong> who have worked together for nine years at such restaurants as <strong>Standard Beer + Food<\/strong> in Raleigh and <strong>Locals Seafood<\/strong> in Durham. On <strong>May 17th<\/strong> from 4 &#8211; 8 p.m. they will host an &#8220;art party&#8221; to officially open their new location in\u00a0<strong>Moore Square<\/strong> <strong>Park<\/strong> (former\u00a0<strong>Square Burger<\/strong>\u00a0spot). <strong>Lucky Tree<\/strong>\u00a0is owned by twin sisters\u00a0<strong>Amanda<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Ashley Faries<\/strong>. Buddy <strong>Chris Creighton<\/strong> shared that <strong>Baker\u2019s Dozen Donuts<\/strong>, which\u00a0is moving into the spot where\u00a0<strong>Bonafide Bakeshop &amp; Cafe<\/strong>\u00a0used to be in\u00a0<strong>Beaver Commons<\/strong>\u00a0(1232 W. Williams Street) in Apex is looking to open on <strong>Monday, May 19th<\/strong> (assuming all final inspections go well). Stay tuned. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported this week that we finally have news on the <strong>Mami Nora&#8217;s<\/strong> building out on Glenwood Avenue. A fast-casual restaurant from Louisville, Kentucky called <strong>Jaggers<\/strong>, which is a subsidiary of <strong>Texas Roadhouse<\/strong>, has submitted plans to demolish the former <strong>Mami Nora&#8217;s <\/strong>at 6711 Glenwood Avenue and construct a new building in its place. The new restaurant will have a drive-thru. <strong>Jaggers<\/strong>, which is described as a blend of <strong>Chick-fil-A<\/strong> and <strong>Five Guys<\/strong>, is known for their burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders and salads. They also have shakes, including a Ghirardelli brownie shake and a chocolate chip cookie shake. No word on a timeline. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatjaggers.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Get to know Jaggers here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Raleating<\/strong> reported that <strong>Nana Morrison&#8217;s Soul Food<\/strong> just opened in Cary just off Weston Parkway at 2052 Renaissance Park Place. It is located in <strong>Crenshaw Corners<\/strong> (think Food Lion) off Hwy. 98 and Durham Rd. in Wake Forest. Looks like this will be the 10th location for <strong>Char-Grill<\/strong>. No word on an exact opening date. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chargrillusa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And down in Fuquay-Varina, <strong>David McCreary<\/strong> shared that we are getting very close (they are now hiring) to the opening of <strong>Mahana Fresh<\/strong> coming soon to the <strong>Bengal Towne Centre<\/strong>. If you are not familiar with them, it is a concept focused on providing gluten-free and vegan friendly bowls filled with fresh, health-conscious grains, vegetables and proteins.
