Impress your co-workers at the water cooler.<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Featured Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>WRAL<\/strong> and the <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> both reported this week that <strong>Isaac Hunter\u2019s Oak City Tavern<\/strong> is returning to downtown Raleigh starting tonight &#8211; March 11! It will open in the former <strong>Common 414<\/strong> bar at 414 Fayetteville St. according to <strong>Zack Medford<\/strong>. Check them <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/huntersoakcity\/?pnref=story\" target=\"_blank\">out on Facebook here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>\n<div><strong>Niall Hanley<\/strong> is at it again, and big-time at that. The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> reported this week that he has signed a lease on the 21,000 square foot (including the outdoor part) former <strong>Jillian\u2019s<\/strong> space in downtown Raleigh and will convert it into a \u201cfood hall.\u201d What is that? It will be a collection of food stalls and small restaurants as well as food retailers. <strong>Hanley<\/strong> is hoping for a mix of businesses and offerings, such as crepes, pizza, coffeeshop, bakery, preserves, burgers, etc. Look for this concept to open around this time next year. This will be fun to watch!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Food truck guru <strong>Art Sheppard<\/strong> (actually his wife) happened to notice this week that the former <strong>Carino\u2019s<\/strong> location in Raleigh\u2019s <strong>Brier Creek<\/strong> has a \u201cnow hiring\u201d sign on it for <strong>Chuy\u2019s<\/strong>. This would become the third Triangle area location. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chuys.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out.<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Got word this week that there is a new restaurant concept that has opened in the former <strong>Twisted Mango<\/strong> location at 411 Fayetteville Street in Raleigh called <strong>San Lorenzo Bistro &amp; Bar<\/strong>. The concept was created by <strong>Mario Longo, Stefano Arcifa <\/strong>and<strong> Giorgio Pizzi<\/strong>, with <strong>Stefano<\/strong> and <strong>Giorgio<\/strong> both from Rome. Be prepared to feel like you have traveled to Italy.<\/span> <\/a><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sanlorenzobistro.com\/#freshfromitaly\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here. <\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\">Reader <strong>Bonnie Bendell<\/strong> reported that <strong>Stonehenge Tavern<\/strong> on Creedmoor opened recently (February 7th) at 7504 Creedmoor Road in the former <strong>Carolina Wing Company<\/strong> location. <\/a><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Coming-Soon-to-You-Stonehenge-Tavern-115329845325041\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out on Facebook here.<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Ashton Smith<\/strong> pointed out that <strong>Trophy Brewing<\/strong> at 827 W. Morgan Street in downtown Raleigh is now open for lunch on Fridays. Mmmmm, pizza, beer and sunshine. Sounds great to me! <\/a><\/span>\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/trophybrewing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ashton Smith<\/strong> also pointed out that <strong>James Borden<\/strong> had noted on his \u201cdevelopment beat\u201d that an interior completion job had begun to make way for <strong>Pieology Pizzeria<\/strong> on Hillsborough Street at the <strong>Stanhope<\/strong> development. It is kind of like a <strong>Moe\u2019s<\/strong> for pizza &#8211; where you create your own pizza, and it is ready in three minutes. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/pieology.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Over in Cary the <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Bond Brothers Beer Company<\/strong>, a long-awaited addition to Cary\u2019s downtown, opened last Friday. It is located in the space behind the former <strong>Dorry\u2019s Downtown<\/strong>, and before that, <strong>The Food Factory<\/strong>. That space remains empty, but the tenant for that space will be announced shortly. Look for a grand opening party, featuring beer, food trucks and Chatham County Line, on <strong>Saturday, April 2nd<\/strong> from 2 p.m. until closing. \u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BondBrosBeer\/\" target=\"_blank\">Keep up with them on Facebook here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in Cary, <strong>Newk\u2019s Eatery<\/strong> opened this past Monday in the former <strong>Hibernian Pub<\/strong> location on Kildaire Farm Road. This marks their first restaurant in the Triangle. If you are not familiar with <strong>Newk\u2019s<\/strong>, they offer Southern-inspired, made-from-scratch soups, sandwiches, salads and pizzas for lunch and dinner. This will be their 98th location in the Southeast. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In Garner, <strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported that <strong>Buffalo Brothers Pizza &amp; Wing Company<\/strong> has opened another location &#8211; this one in Garner in the <strong>White Oak Shopping Center<\/strong> at 7245 White Oak Drive next to <strong>Logan\u2019s Steakhouse<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.buffbrothers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Big news over at <strong>The Boot<\/strong> in Durham. Got word from the man himself, <strong>John May<\/strong>, previously a sous chef at <strong>Chef and the Farmer<\/strong>, has returned to Durham and has taken over as executive chef. He told me they are taking it from a Jersey red sauce kind of joint towards a farm to table, more traditional Italian. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thebootdurham.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. So get ready to fill up your calendar with a <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/triangleexplorer.com\/2016\/02\/26\/triangle-festivals-events-spring-2016\/\" target=\"_blank\">long list of upcoming foodie events<\/a><\/span>!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SEEDS<\/strong> announced this week that their <strong>Fork Less Traveled<\/strong>, a chef dinner series that pairs Durham chefs with local farms and beverage purveyors, will kick off this season on <strong>March 13th<\/strong> and will feature <strong>Ricky Moore<\/strong> of <strong>Saltbox Seafood Joint<\/strong>.
