Dubbed <strong>Trophy Five Points<\/strong>, this will be the seventh location from the folks behind <strong>Trophy Brewing Co.<\/strong> in Raleigh. They will be joining their growing list of concepts &#8211; <strong>Trophy Brewing &amp; Pizza<\/strong>, <strong>State of Beer<\/strong>, <strong>Bend Bar<\/strong>, <strong>State of Beer at The Bend<\/strong>,<strong> Trophy on Maywood<\/strong> (production facility and taproom), <strong>Young Hearts Distilling<\/strong> (a small-batch distillery) and <strong>Maywood Hall &amp; Garden<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.trophybrewing.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit all of Trophy&#8217;s locations here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Raleigh Magazine<\/strong> shared that combined hemp dispensary, coffee and mocktail bar <strong>Haven Herb Garden Bar<\/strong> has opened at 215 Glenwood Avenue. It is in the same building as <strong>Drink <\/strong>wine bar and Mad Ethel&#8217;s Tattoo. The coffee menu includes lattes, dirty chai, matcha and other espresso bevs, plus drinks with adaptogenic properties. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/havenherbgardenbar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Check it out on Instagram here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Learned from <strong>Triangle Business Journal <\/strong>this week that Mediterranean restaurant <strong>Cava <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Chipotle Mexican Grill<\/strong>\u00a0will open locations at Cary&#8217;s <strong>Alston Town Center<\/strong> along Highway 55 in northwest Cary. The project aims to finish construction by next spring, with restaurants opening in the summer.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Way up in the Wake Forest and Rolesville area, reader <strong>Ryan Harrison<\/strong> shared with me that the new <strong>Char-Grill <\/strong>at <strong>Crenshaw Corners<\/strong> on Hwy. 98 in Wake Forest is now open. Additionally, the new <strong>Five Guys<\/strong> in Rolesville at the <strong>Wallbrook Shopping Center<\/strong> is also open. Thanks <strong>Ryan<\/strong>! <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>My buddy <strong>Bates Battaglia<\/strong> shared with me the news that his bar, <strong>Lucky B&#8217;s<\/strong>, is celebrating 20 years as Glenwood South\u2019s favorite Dive Bar! Looks like they will have an anniversary party on <strong>Saturday, September 13th<\/strong>. Stay tuned for details. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lucky_bs_dtr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit B&#8217;s here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Out in RTP, <strong>Raleigh Magazine<\/strong> shared the exciting news that chef <strong>Katsuji Tanabe&#8217;s<\/strong> beloved <strong>High Horse<\/strong> restaurant is coming back when it opens in a brand-new building at <strong>Horseshoe RTP.<\/strong> You&#8217;ll remember he first opened <strong>High Horse<\/strong> in November, 2019 in downtown Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>City Market<\/strong>, but closed just months later due to the unfortunate timing of Covid-19. The new venture will be in partnership with Raleigh restaurateur <strong>Anthony Rapillo<\/strong>. Expect the return of some of your favorite menu items\u2014think skillet cornbread and cotton candy\u2014plus newcomers like a houseground burger and charcoal-cooked seafood platter according to the magazine. Look for the modern space to feature an indoor\/outdoor cocktail bar and expansive patio. Franklin St. next to <strong>Roots Natural Kitchen<\/strong>. Open daily from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., you can expect everything from breakfast, mimosas, cocktails, burritos, burgers and bowls. This is their sixth location in North Carolina, and second in the Triangle (they have a location in Cary) and a location is planned for Raleigh. And of course, they have the best website URL ever (www.mimosasmademedoit.com). <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mimosasmademedoit.com\/chapelhill-nc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Axios Raleigh<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Even Dough<\/strong>, the\u00a0Carrboro\u00a0bakery beloved for its custom cakes, challah, pies and other baked goods, will open as a caf\u00e9 on <strong>Tuesday, Sept. 2<\/strong>, at 203 W. Weaver Street. Once the cafe opens, expect both sweet and savory pastries, like tarts, cookies, cakes, bagel sticks, bourekas, puff pastries and coffee from <strong>Grey Squirrel<\/strong>. They will be open 8 a.m. &#8211; 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. &#8211; 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.evendough.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Get familiar with them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In Chapel Hill, <strong>Chapelboro<\/strong> reported that <strong>The Latin Effect<\/strong>, which has been operating as a food truck out of Durham since 2020, is opening its first brick-and-mortar location at 504 West Franklin Street. They will serve up authentic and flavorful Latin American cuisine, specializing in tacos, taquitos, baleadas and more. <strong>Alberto Chedrani<\/strong>, who runs the food truck with his wife<strong> Rebecca<\/strong>, co-owns the restaurant with <strong>Happy Rathore<\/strong>. <strong>Rathore\u2019s<\/strong> family are the folks behind <strong>NaanStop Indian Cuisine<\/strong> and <strong>Terrace Kitchen <\/strong>in Durham and the <strong>Naan House Indian Bistro<\/strong> in Apex. It is the latest offering from the folks behind <strong>Beau Catering<\/strong>. They are open Wednesday through Saturday, opening at 5 p.m. each of those days. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.littlegembar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Over in Carrboro, <strong>Autostrada Pizza &amp; Pannini<\/strong>, a pizza and panini restaurant and neighboring gelato and coffee shop in <strong>Carr Mill Mall<\/strong>, announced they will celebrate their grand opening <strong>September 6-7<\/strong>. Saturday September 6 festivities include a free gelato with any 16&#8243; pizza purchase and they will donate 10% of that day&#8217;s sales to the Carrboro Elementary School PTA. On Sunday September 7, they will introduce their new <strong>Sunday Supper<\/strong> special featuring family-style pasta and salad while airing the Italian Grand Prix. Customers can also enter to win <strong>Autostrada<\/strong> gift cards and more during the weekend and online. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/autostradacarrboro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Do so here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Triangle Business Journal <\/strong>is reporting that <strong>Dame\u2019s Chicken &amp; Waffles<\/strong> is moving from its downtown location to 471 S. Driver St. in East Durham with plans to open in late September. On Driver Street, they&#8217;ll be joining <strong>Proximity Brewing<\/strong>, <strong>Congress Social Bar <\/strong>and the event space <strong>Garland Hall<\/strong>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dameschickenwaffles.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit Dame&#8217;s here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Also in Durham, we learned that <strong>Bull McCabes<\/strong> is now <strong>Bull McCabes with the TanDurm Kitchen<\/strong>, a new concept managed by the team at <strong>Viceroy<\/strong>. It\u2019s a new bar fare menu featuring Indian and Asian street food, with pub classics. <strong>TanDurm<\/strong> started as a food truck parked on their lawn eight or nine years ago, and that\u2019s where their sister restaurant, <strong>Viceroy<\/strong>, got their start. And now they&#8217;re back! <strong>Bull McCabes<\/strong> has never been a \u201ctraditional\u201d Irish pub, but rather an international pub with neighborhood roots. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bullmccabesirishpub.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Visit them here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Back out in RTP, <strong>Glenn Gillen<\/strong> noted that <strong>Soul Forking Good<\/strong> (up for restaurant name of the year!) has opened at 2500 Meridian Parkway in Suite 135. This is the former location of <strong>Chef Chick&#8217;s Bakery<\/strong>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/soulforkinggood\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Check them out on Instagram here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We saw this week that Chatham County&#8217;s <strong>Ta Contento<\/strong>, Mex fresh food, will soon be opening a second location down in Pittsboro&#8217;s <strong>The Plant<\/strong> development, which is a food and beverage campus located at 220 Lorax Lane. No word yet on an open date. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/tacontentoch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Looks like Facebook is the best place<\/mark><\/a><\/strong> to keep up with their pending announcement. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>And staying in Chatham County, we learned that Pittsboro&#8217;s <strong>Red Moose Brewing Company<\/strong> is closing up operations there as the new owners are moving the brewing equipment and d\u00e9cor just a short drive away to Liberty, NC, where the spirit of <strong>Red Moose<\/strong> will continue to live on in a new home. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/redmoosebrewing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Might be best to follow along on Instagram here<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Closings<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>None to report.
