Impress your co-workers at the water cooler.<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Featured Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Amber Watson\u2019s Bites of Bull City<\/strong> blog broke the exciting news this week that the owners of <strong>Pizzeria Toro<\/strong> have quietly opened downtown Durham\u2019s newest spot, <strong>Littler<\/strong>, in the former <strong>Monuts<\/strong> spot on Parrish Street. It is aptly named, as it has a small bar and only about a dozen tables. While the menu will change frequently, it includes a few permanent items, like oysters and a lamb burger. It is open for dinner, except Tuesdays. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/littlerdurham.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Just four months after taking over <strong>The Borough<\/strong> in downtown Raleigh and converting it to <strong>Hadley\u2019s<\/strong>, the <strong>Indy<\/strong> is reporting that the owners have listed it on Craigslist for $120k. Co-owners <strong>Drew Schenck<\/strong> and <strong>Kevin Barrett<\/strong> are interested in putting <strong>Hadley\u2019s<\/strong> behind them and focusing on their new venture, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dramanddraught\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dram &amp; Draught<\/a><\/span><\/strong> opening soon on Hillsborough Street. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/raleigh.craigslist.org\/bfs\/5648064366.html\" target=\"_blank\">Check out the listing here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>We told you about this back in December, but now an open date has been set for <strong>The Capital Grille<\/strong> restaurant in the newly opened <strong>Bank of America Tower at North Hills<\/strong>. Looks like <strong>Monday, July 11<\/strong> is the official opening date. <strong>The Capital Grille<\/strong> is is an elegant steakhouse known for their dry-aged steaks, seafood, freshest ingredients, and award-winning wines. In the meantime, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thecapitalgrille.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\">check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Thanks to a tip on <strong>Yelp<\/strong>, we learned that <strong>Five Guys Burgers and Fries<\/strong> is opening their next location in Raleigh in the new shopping center at the intersection of Oak Forest Drive and Capital Boulevard (5501 Capital Boulevard to be exact). No word on the exact date, just \u201copening soon.\u201d We\u2019ll keep an eye on it. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fiveguys.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word this week that Cary\u2019s <strong>The Daily Grind<\/strong> (Highhouse and Davis) is no more, and has been replaced by <strong>Elixir Coffee<\/strong> in the <strong>Stonecreek Village shopping center<\/strong>. They serve coffee and pastries (from <strong>LucetteGrace<\/strong>!) all day, and offer lunch service featuring soup and gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/elixircoffeenc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check out their website here<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/elixircoffeenc\/\" target=\"_blank\">their Facebook page here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in Cary, the developers of the (currently under construction) <strong>Alston Town Center<\/strong> retail center near the intersection of N.C. 55 and the N.C. 540 Triangle Expressway announced this week that <strong>Moe\u2019s Southwest Grill<\/strong> will occupy one of the ancillary retail buildings which will be anchored by Whole Foods (opening in early 2017). We will keep an eye on this. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.moes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check out Moe&#8217;s here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And just south of Raleigh (in Harnett County), <strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Ed\u2019s Family Restaurant &amp; Catering<\/strong> has opened in the former <strong>Rebecca&#8217;s Restaurant<\/strong> space at 43 East Depot Street.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>This is kind of cool. The recent opening of <strong>Boheme<\/strong> restaurant in Durham is getting rave reviews. Now, the next component of that property is coming online &#8211; in the form of their <strong>Bohemian Garden<\/strong>. Open on Thursday and Sunday nights from 8 p.m. onwards, the lush garden will host live music and drink specials, not to mention dogs are encouraged. Calling this their \u201csoft\u201d opening, the grand opening is <strong>Sunday, July 10th<\/strong> with a Luau BBQ featuring traditional Caribbean dishes, drink specials and live \u00a0from 5 p.m. onwards. \u00a0Tickets are $25 and <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/bohemian-garden-grand-opening-tickets-26104824232\" target=\"_blank\">can be purchased here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Also in Durham, <strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Bruster&#8217;s Real Ice Cream<\/strong> is now being served on Renaissance Parkway near <strong>Southpoint Mall<\/strong> (just a few doors down from Rise Biscuits &amp; Donuts). <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/brusters.com\/durham\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>And over in Chapel Hill, things are about to get a lot sweeter, as <strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported that <strong>Tonya Council<\/strong> (of the family that brought us <strong>Mama Dip\u2019s<\/strong>) is about to open <strong>Tonya\u2019s Cookies<\/strong>. Can\u2019t exactly tell where it is from the storefront photo she just posted, but we\u2019ll keep an eye on it. Our best to the family on their next venture!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Food Trucks<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>The latest installment of the <strong>Chatham Street Chowdown<\/strong> series in beautiful downtown Cary happens this <strong>Sunday (June 26)<\/strong>. The weather this weekend looks perfect, and the fun starts at 5 p.m. and goes until 9:30 p.m. and will include food trucks, local breweries and live music.
