And you better jump fast, as many of these events will sell out soon. Trust me. If you aren\u2019t familiar with <strong>TerraVita<\/strong>, it is arguably the premier \u201cfoodie event\u201d in the southeast and it will take place <strong>September 28th through October 1<\/strong> right here in Chapel Hill. In a nutshell, it is a multi-day celebration that brings together top chefs, food artisans, sommeliers, baristas, brewers, educators, distillers, cookbook authors and industry luminaries from across the Southeast to celebrate culinary excellence and sustainability in food and drink. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.showclix.com\/events\/19172\" target=\"_blank\">Get tickets (NOW!) here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/terravitaevent.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">And get additional details on TerraVita here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word from <strong>Vinty Judge<\/strong> herself that she is bringing the European gelato cafe <strong>Amorino<\/strong> to downtown Raleigh &#8211; more specifically to the street level of the <strong>Edison Lofts<\/strong> at 109 Davie St. If you are not familiar with <strong>Amorino<\/strong>, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amorino.com\/us\" target=\"_blank\">check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. They have US locations in New York, Boston, Beverly Hills, Chicago&#8230;and soon, Raleigh!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/raleighco.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Raleigh &amp; Company<\/a><\/span><\/strong> writer <strong>Jen Baker<\/strong> gave an update this week on the newest coffee joint opening soon in Raleigh. <strong>42 &amp; Lawrence<\/strong> will open in the \u201cnext 2 weeks\u201d on the ground floor of <strong>SkyHouse<\/strong> (308 S. Blount Street) in downtown Raleigh. The endeavor is brought to us by <strong>Larry Larson<\/strong> (think <strong>Larry\u2019s Beans<\/strong> and <strong>Larry\u2019s Coffee<\/strong>). Not much up yet on their Facebook page, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/42-Lawrence-1598206150441106\/\" target=\"_blank\">but check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And speaking of coffee, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NewRaleigh\" target=\"_blank\">New Raleigh<\/a><\/span><\/strong> noted this week that <strong>Sir Walter Coffee<\/strong> is coming soon to Raleigh. That is it. That is all we know. No date. No location (other than Raleigh). So, stay tuned. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/sirwaltercoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Here is the website<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>We are getting closer and closer to the opening of Fayetteville Street&#8217;s latest restaurant, a burger joint by the name of <strong>Bare Bones<\/strong>. It will open any day now in the former home of <strong>Zinda&#8217;s<\/strong> at the <strong>PNC Plaza<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.barebonesraleigh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check their website out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Bare-Bones-664104840394334\/?fref=nf\" target=\"_blank\">their Facebook page here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A quick update to the opening of <strong>Wings over Raleigh<\/strong>. <strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported this week that they will open on <strong>July 7th<\/strong> at 2900 Hillsborough Street. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wingsover.com\/locations\/detail?location=60\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>We learned this week via \u201cCindy Who\u201d on Twitter that the <strong>Dalat Oriental Restaurant<\/strong> in Raleigh\u2019s <strong>Mission Valley<\/strong> shopping center is changing ownership. The transition is to be complete by the middle of July. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dalat.z7z.us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Related to that, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NewRaleigh\" target=\"_blank\">New Raleigh<\/a><\/span><\/strong> is reporting that the current <strong>Dalat<\/strong> owner will open a fusion Vietnamese subs, pizza, and burrito joint with arcade games off Hwy 42 called <strong>42 Funland<\/strong>. We will keep an eye on that.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>This is kind of cool. The recent opening of <strong>Boheme Restaurant<\/strong> in Durham is getting rave reviews. Now, the next component of that property is coming online &#8211; in the form of their <strong>Bohemian Garden<\/strong>. Open on Thursday and Sunday nights from 8pm onwards the lush garden will host live music and drink specials, not to mention dogs are encouraged. Calling this their \u201csoft\u201d opening, the grand opening is <strong>Sunday, July 10th<\/strong> with a Luau BBQ featuring traditional Caribbean dishes, drink specials and live \u00a0from 5pm onwards. \u00a0Tickets are $25 and <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/bohemian-garden-grand-opening-tickets-26104824232\" target=\"_blank\">can be purchased here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And a quick update. Last week we told you that that <strong>Tonya Council<\/strong> (of the family that brought us <strong>Mama Dip\u2019s<\/strong>) is about to open <strong>Tonya\u2019s Cookies<\/strong>. We learned from readers that the location will be on Rosemary Street (near Mitchell Lane), almost right across the street from <strong>Mama Dip\u2019s<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/tonyascookies.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Closings<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>It appears that <strong>Back in the Day Cafe<\/strong> in Cary\u2019s <strong>Millpond Village<\/strong> is now permanently closed as there is a \u201cFor Sale\u201d sign in the window.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also learned from <strong>David Warpole<\/strong> that <strong>Checkers<\/strong> on Raleigh\u2019s Hillsborough Street has closed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Food Trucks<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Every Friday through August 5, Raleigh\u2019s <strong>Triangle Town Center<\/strong> will host food trucks at its new &#8220;<strong>Creekside Wind Down<\/strong>&#8221; event series.
