We got several tips last week that they were closed &#8211; they are not. Turns out they scale back their hours (they open at 4 p.m.) in the summer. Please stop by <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/gumbyspizzaraleigh.com\/5470\" target=\"_blank\">and\/or order a pie<\/a><\/span><\/strong>! Our apologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> reported this week that a longtime <strong>Sullivan\u2019s Steakhouse<\/strong> general manager, <strong>Todd Henderson<\/strong>, plans to open <strong>Parkside Restaurant<\/strong> in the downtown Raleigh spot that used to be home to <strong>Brewmaster\u2019s Bar &amp; Grill<\/strong> and <strong>Joe\u2019s Place<\/strong> (301 W. Martin St.). <strong>Henderson<\/strong> has hired chef <strong>Matt Scofield<\/strong>, who worked for six years as the executive chef at <strong>Sitti<\/strong>. Look for them to open in 4-6 weeks. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Parkside-Raleigh-1758586324375969\/\" target=\"_blank\">Keep up with their progress on Facebook here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A quick update. Downtown Raleigh\u2019s newest coffee shop,<strong> 42 &amp; Lawrence<\/strong>, opened this past week on the ground floor of <strong>SkyHouse<\/strong> (308 S. Blount Street). The endeavor is brought to us by <strong>Larry Larson<\/strong> (think <strong>Larry\u2019s Beans<\/strong> and <strong>Larry\u2019s Coffee<\/strong>). <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/42-Lawrence-1598206150441106\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out on Facebook here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>News &amp; Observer\u2019s Andrea Weigl<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Matt Fern<\/strong>, the longtime beverage director of Raleigh\u2019s <strong>AC Restaurant Group<\/strong>, is leaving to open a deli in Raleigh. That is the great news. The \u201cbad\u201d news is we will have to wait two years! <strong>Fern<\/strong> plans to open a Raleigh restaurant that takes from the Jewish and Italian deli traditions. The location hasn\u2019t been disclosed at this point. Stay tuned!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>It is official, Raleigh has earned its wings. Well, at least the newest location of <strong>Wings Over<\/strong> in the form of <strong>Wings Over Raleigh<\/strong>. It opened yesterday at 2900 Hillsborough Street. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wingsover.com\/locations\/detail?location=60\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Over in Chapel Hill, the town announced that <strong>Pieology<\/strong> and <strong>b.good<\/strong> would both open on downtown Chapel Hill\u2019s Franklin Street in the newest development, <strong>Carolina Square<\/strong>, when it opens in the summer of 2017. <strong>Pieology<\/strong> has one location in Raleigh with a second on the way. And <strong>b.good<\/strong> has two Raleigh locations, one in <strong>North Hills<\/strong> and one in downtown Raleigh.
