Impress your co-workers at the water cooler.<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Featured Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>M Sushi\u2019s<\/strong> chef and owner <strong>Michael Lee<\/strong> plans to open a new chicken restaurant in downtown Durham by mid-September. <strong>M Kokko<\/strong> (the second word being Korean slang to refer to chickens) will share the same kitchen as <strong>Lee\u2019s<\/strong> highly-rated sushi restaurant at 311 Holland Street but have a separate entrance. And <strong>Lee<\/strong> isn\u2019t done with his restaurant plans in downtown Durham. By next spring, he hopes to open a Korean barbecue restaurant serving pork and beef. That restaurant will have a similar set up to <strong>M Sushi-M Kokko<\/strong> with a small taqueria also operating out of the same kitchen. In the meantime, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/msushidurham.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">check out M Sushi here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Jon Seelbinder<\/strong> is doing it again. This time with the opening of <strong>Little City<\/strong>, a neighborhood bar, bodega, and brewery, at 400 West North Street on the ground floor of the seventeen-story <strong>West at North<\/strong> complex. <strong>Seelbinder<\/strong> is behind<strong> Level Up<\/strong>, <strong>Linus &amp; Pepper\u2019s<\/strong> and <strong>Virgil\u2019s<\/strong>. The <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.raleighagenda.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Raleigh Agenda<\/a><\/span><\/strong> reported that he will open <strong>Little City<\/strong> on September 15. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/thelocalicon.com\/little-city\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in downtown Raleigh, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.raleighagenda.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Raleigh Agenda<\/a><\/span><\/strong> reported that <strong>Seaboard Station\u2019s Oak &amp; Dagger Public House<\/strong> will open in mid-September just in time for <strong>Raleigh Beer Week<\/strong>. Keep up with their progress <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/oakanddagger\/\" target=\"_blank\">on their Facebook page here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And we got word this week from <strong>Daniel Whittaker<\/strong> that his <strong>Person Street Cafe<\/strong>, in the Person Street District in downtown Raleigh, is expanding hours to include Sundays from 7am-4pm starting September 11. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.personstreetrx.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check out Person Street Cafe here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>One of the sleepiest corners of the Triangle when it comes to dining options is getting ready to blow up with dining options! Located at the 15-501 entrance to <strong>Briar Chapel<\/strong>, just south of Chapel Hill, the <strong>Veranda<\/strong> is welcoming four (count them, four!) amazing dining options. Thanks to <strong>Neha Shah<\/strong> at the <strong>Pittsboro-Siler City Convention and Visitors Bureau<\/strong> for the tip on all of these.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>First up is <strong>Alberello<\/strong>, a new Italian restaurant by <strong>Brendan and Leslie Cox<\/strong>, owners of <strong>Oakleaf<\/strong> in Pittsboro. <strong>Alberello<\/strong> brings the commitment to quality and service that you know and expect at <strong>Oakleaf<\/strong> to a casual, family friendly setting. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.alberellonc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Next up is <strong>Breakaway Cafe<\/strong>, a bicycle-themed restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as baked goods and small plates. They were part of the group that owns <strong>Champps<\/strong> and <strong>Fox &amp; Hound<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Also got word from <strong>WRAL<\/strong> that <strong>Tijuana Flats<\/strong> on Ninth Street in Durham has closed. They still have a location in Cary.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>We saw on the <strong>Raleigh Agenda<\/strong> that <strong>Crema<\/strong> will close its location at 121 Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh. Its second location at the opposite end of Fayetteville Street will remain open.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>And over in Durham, reader <strong>Jeff Harris<\/strong> notified us that <strong>Pale &amp; Porter<\/strong> at <strong>Sutton Station<\/strong> has closed.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Food Trucks<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>This Sunday is the annual Labor Day weekend <strong>Food Truck Rodeo at Durham Central Park<\/strong> featuring over 50 of your favorite food trucks as well as local craft beer and live music. It will feature tastings from the top cider houses on the east coast as well as food from chefs at <strong>Bona Fide, Durham Catering, Mateo, Oval Park Grille, PICNIC <\/strong>and<strong> Rise<\/strong>.
