October 1 will be the last day of his downtown Raleigh restaurant <strong>Bolt<\/strong>. Beginning October 2nd, he, along with <strong>Rudy Theale<\/strong>, will convert the space into <strong>Pizza La Stella<\/strong>. Look for them to re-open in mid-November. <strong>Theale<\/strong> will oversee the operations at <strong>La Stella<\/strong>. The two will also bring the pizza concept to the space next to <strong>Sadeghi\u2019s<\/strong> Durham location of <strong>Town Hall Burger and Beer<\/strong>. No website yet, but keep up <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/townhallburgerandbeer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">with Town Hall Burger and Beer here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Wake County Restaurant News<\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Recently while walking through Raleigh\u2019s <strong>City Market<\/strong>, reader <strong>Chad Barringer<\/strong> noticed that <strong>Troy Mezze<\/strong> had closed and that there were signs in the window saying &#8220;<strong>City Market Sushi<\/strong> Coming Soon.&#8221; No word yet on who is behind the new concept or when they plan on opening. We will keep an eye on it. We saw an announcement about a \u201chiring fair\u201d that is taking place today. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tobaccoroadsportscafe.com\/about\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Keep up with their progress here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in Raleigh, friend <strong>Ashton Mae Smith<\/strong> brought attention to the fact that <strong>The Players\u2019 Retreat<\/strong> has reopened their \u201cnew\u201d kitchen and their full menu is back along with chef <strong>Beth Littlejohn\u2019s<\/strong> features! <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/playersretreat\/\" target=\"_blank\">Keep up with the latest here on their Facebook page<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>James Borden\u2019s<\/strong> blog, <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/raleighpublicrecord.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Raleigh Public Record<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, noted this week that <strong>Crabtree Valley Mall<\/strong> will become the home to the first North Carolina location of of the chain restaurant <strong>Seasons 52<\/strong>. <strong>Seasons 52<\/strong> is one of seven brands operated by <strong>Darden Restaurants<\/strong>. Five of these brands currently have Raleigh locations: <strong>Bahama Breeze, The Capital Grille, LongHorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden <\/strong>and<strong> The Yardhouse<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.seasons52.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\">Get to know them here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/raleighpublicrecord.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Raleigh Public Record<\/a><\/span><\/strong> also noted that <strong>Ba-Da Wings!<\/strong> is set to open a second Raleigh location, this one at the <strong>Creedmoor Crossing shopping center<\/strong> at 6300 Creedmoor Road. The restaurant currently has a space at the <strong>Mission Valley Shopping Center<\/strong> on Avent Ferry Road. The building on that site was demolished, making way for the brand new store. <strong>Annelore\u2019s German Bakery<\/strong> currently has one store in Raleigh on Agriculture Street. It will feature tastings from the top cider houses on the east coast as well as food from chefs at <strong>Bona Fide, Durham Catering, Mateo, Oval Park Grille, PICNIC <\/strong>and<strong> Rise<\/strong>.
