First up is that <strong>Adam Rose<\/strong> has left the just-opened <strong>H Street Kitchen<\/strong> in Raleigh. No word yet on where <strong>Rose<\/strong> will land, we just hope it is somewhere here in the Triangle. And after nine months, <strong>John Childers<\/strong> moved from <strong>Midtown Grille<\/strong> back to the <strong>Umstead Hotel and Spa<\/strong> in Cary where he had been for seven years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>In downtown Raleigh, the <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> reported last week that the city of Raleigh awarded the contract to operate a cafe in the soon-to-be-renovated <strong>Moore Square<\/strong> to <strong>Empire Eats<\/strong> which also owns <strong>Raleigh Times, Morning Times, Sitti, The Pit <\/strong>and<strong> Gravy<\/strong>. The new cafe will be called <strong>Square Burger<\/strong>, serving square patties on potato rolls. Raleigh will spend $12.6 million over the next year to renovate <strong>Moore Square<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/empireeats.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Learn more about Empire Eats here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Mission Valley\u2019s Dalat<\/strong> (under new ownership) is looking to reopen either <strong>September 19th or 20th<\/strong>. Call them first (919-832-7449) before you head over.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported this week that the sports restaurant and bar concept out of Maryland called <strong>Glory Days Grill<\/strong> will be coming to the Triangle, and more specifically Raleigh, in the summer of 2017. Congratulations to <strong>Chris, Warren and Douglas Holmes<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.glorydaysgrill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get familiar with Glory Days Grill here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NewRaleigh\" target=\"_blank\">New Raleigh<\/a><\/span><\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Boylan Bridge Brewpub<\/strong> re-opened this past Wednesday. No food and no deck (yet), but it is their first step back! <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.boylanbridge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stay tuned as they continue to rebuild<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Wahlberg<\/strong> brothers, <strong>Mark, Donnie and Paul<\/strong>, are bringing their Boston-area restaurant concept to Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh, taking over the space formerly occupied by <strong>The Oxford<\/strong>. And you guessed it (I know you did), it is called <strong>Walhburgers<\/strong>. And this could happen as soon as January, 2017. Seriously.
