The hotel is at 8021 Arco Corporate Drive. He also plans on opening a brick-and-mortar location in <strong>Brier Creek<\/strong>. They will feature both <strong>Trophy Brewing<\/strong> as well as guest brewers and will have a menu centered around rotisserie chicken. So it is like a backyard cookout with someone else pouring you your beer and you don&#8217;t have to cook. Giddy up! <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/trophybrewing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 Thanks to <strong>John Huisman<\/strong> for the tip on that!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported this week that signage has gone up for <strong>Soca<\/strong> in the former <strong>Faire<\/strong> spot in Raleigh\u2019s <strong>Cameron Village<\/strong> and will likely open next month. <strong>Soca<\/strong> is being brought to us by the owners of the popular eatery <strong>Buku<\/strong>, <strong>Sean Degnan<\/strong> and <strong>Tony Hopkins<\/strong>. Where <strong>Buku<\/strong> tends to focus on updates of popular, approachable dishes from Asia, <strong>Soca<\/strong> will shift its eye to South and Central America, the menu bouncing between Colombia and Mexico, Trinidad and Puerto Rico, Jamaica and Chile. Get a peek at their menu and keep up with their updates and pending opening <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/socaraleigh\" target=\"_blank\">on their Facebook page here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Thanks to a tip from <strong>Bob Newell<\/strong>, we learned that over on Raleigh\u2019s Hillsborough Street <strong>Bob Jewett<\/strong>, owner of <strong>Bocci Trattoria and Pizzeria<\/strong> in Cary and Durham, is opening a third location in the former spot of <strong>Porter\u2019s Tavern<\/strong> and later <strong>McDaids<\/strong>. <strong>Jewett<\/strong>, an N.C. State grad who got his start in the restaurant industry at the beloved <strong>Two Guys Pizza<\/strong>, said he hopes to open by early April. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bocciitalian.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check out Bocci here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word from reader <strong>Joanne Gehas<\/strong> that there is a Vietnamese restaurant called <strong>Mekong Vietnamese Cuisine<\/strong> coming into the <strong>Alexander Village<\/strong> shopping center at 2121 T.W. Alexander Drive near <strong>Brier Creek<\/strong>. It will be located in the same shopping center as the Food Lion. They note that you will be able to enjoy authentic dishes from the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam. No word yet on an open date, so we will keep an eye on it. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mekongcuisinetriangle\" target=\"_blank\">Here is a link to their Facebook page<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The newest Triangle-area location of <strong>Moe&#8217;s<\/strong> held their grand opening this past Wednesday. It is located in Cary&#8217;s <strong>Alston Town Center<\/strong> on Hwy. 55, just south of NC540. Their actual address is 5020 Arco Street, Cary, NC 27519, but being a new street, it still doesn&#8217;t show up on some mapping services. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.moes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check out Moe&#8217;s here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in Cary, got word this week that the third Triangle-area location of <strong>First Watch<\/strong> is on schedule to open next month in the <strong>Shops at Bradford<\/strong> (Publix grocery store) at the corner of High House and Davis Drive. <strong>First Watch<\/strong> is a breakfast- and brunch-focused restaurant chain with locations on Glenwood Avenue and on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.firstwatch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check out First Watch here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Over in Wake Forest, <strong>WRAL<\/strong> noted that it looks like sometime around the 1st of February the Triangle will be able to enjoy the next location of <strong>Panera Bread<\/strong>. This one will be located at 11665 Northpark Drive. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.panerabread.com\" target=\"_blank\">Check out Panera here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And speaking of Wake Forest, <strong>WRAL<\/strong> also noted that we are getting closer to the opening of the second Triangle-area location of <strong>MOD Pizza<\/strong> at 2815 Rogers Road as signage has now gone up on the building. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/modpizza.com\/locations\/wake-forest\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check out MOD here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And finally, the good folks over at the <strong>Western Wake Farmers Market<\/strong> are trying to secure a \u201cforever\u201d home in partnership with the town of Morrisville. It is a joint effort of <strong>Beer Study<\/strong> and <strong>Starpoint Brewing<\/strong>. This ends a 6 year run. You can still frequent the <strong>Tribeca Tavern<\/strong> in Cary. <strong>Tribeca Hospitality<\/strong> also owns the <strong>First Watch<\/strong> franchise brand which has two locations in Raleigh and is opening a third in Cary next month. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/tribecatavernnc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Visit their website here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> reported this week that <strong>Gregory Hamm<\/strong> announced via Facebook that he will be closing his <strong>P.G. Werth\u2019s Restaurant &amp; Market<\/strong> in downtown Raleigh by mid-February. He plans to continue operating his <strong>Caf\u00e9 121<\/strong> restaurant and event venue in Sanford and <strong>Chef Hamm Inc. Catering<\/strong>, as well as continue to teach culinary classes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in Raleigh, got word this week from the <strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> that the <strong>Shucker\u2019s<\/strong> location at 510 Glenwood Avenue will be closing. You can still visit their original location in Wake Forest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Reader <strong>Steve Solloway<\/strong> informed us that <strong>Moonlight Swirl<\/strong> in north Raleigh in the <strong>Shops at Falls Village<\/strong> has closed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Speaking of sweets, the beautiful and talented <strong>Lori Bowers-Lennard<\/strong> informed me that the <strong>Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s<\/strong> location on Broad Street in Durham has closed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Food Trucks<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Everyone remembers <strong>Steven Goff<\/strong>, right? Former butcher at <strong>Standard Foods<\/strong>. We told you awhile back that he was working toward bringing a food truck to the Triangle (and entire state). Well, looks like we are just days\/weeks away from him hitting the streets with his <strong>Brine Haus Food + Provisions<\/strong> food truck! In fact, he\u2019s is already booking the truck for events. This Sunday at 6 p.m., chef <strong>Josh Young<\/strong> at <strong>Humble Pie<\/strong> in downtown Raleigh is hosting a <strong>Trash Ramen Pop-Up Dinner<\/strong>. What is that? Glad you asked. The wonderful U.S. of A. wastes more food than any nation on the planet. That&#8217;s not cool! Chef <strong>Josh Young<\/strong> is doing something about it. He&#8217;s making ramen broth utilizing stock and scraps and vegetables that are left over or likely thrown away to make a delicious, nourishing soup. He&#8217;ll be dishing out his magic this <strong>Sunday, Jan. 29th<\/strong>, beginning at <strong>6:00 p.m.<\/strong> sharp until there&#8217;s nothing left. The bar will be open and ramen is only 12 bucks a bowl. Even better, a portion of the night&#8217;s proceeds will be donated to <strong>NO KID HUNGRY NC<\/strong>. Come on friends and slurp up some delicious ramen for a good cause. During the competition, guests who donate $5 or more to support each joint&#8217;s food bank partner will receive a free <strong>Pass the Pigs<\/strong> game set, and donations of any amount will be accepted.
