In honor of<strong> St. Patrick\u2019s Day<\/strong>, <strong>Krispy Kreme Doughnuts<\/strong> will change its iconic glazed doughnuts name by adding an apostrophe &#8211; <strong>O\u2019riginal Glazed<\/strong>. Additionally, they are bringing back their specially formulated green doughnuts for this one-day-only celebration. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.krispykreme.com\/\">Check it all out here<\/a><\/b><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Two restaurants that were in the \u201cwaiting pattern\u201d last week have now opened according to each of their Facebook pages. <strong>Soca<\/strong> has opened in the former <strong>Faire<\/strong> spot in Raleigh\u2019s <strong>Cameron Village<\/strong> and is being brought to us by the owners of the popular eatery<strong> Buku<\/strong>, <strong>Sean Degnan <\/strong>and<strong> Tony Hopkins<\/strong>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/socaraleigh\">Check them out here<\/a><\/b><\/span>. We told you about this back in January, but the date has been set and it is getting closer. Your weekend brunch options just got a lot more interesting with the <strong>April 1st<\/strong> (no kidding) launch of weekend brunch service at <strong>Poole\u2019s Diner<\/strong>. Prompted by the closing of <strong>Ashley Christensen\u2019s Joule<\/strong> (being replaced by <strong>St. Roch Oyster + Bar<\/strong>), <strong>Poole\u2019s<\/strong> brunch service will feature many of the dishes from <strong>Joule<\/strong>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/ac-restaurants.com\/pooles\/\">Check it out here<\/a><\/b><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Next up in the \u201cwhen will they finally open!\u201d category is <strong>Brewery Bhavana<\/strong>, a hybrid restaurant, brewery, flower shop and book shop, located in the former <strong>Tir Na Nog<\/strong> spot adjacent to <strong>Moore Square<\/strong>. The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> reported this week that they will open at the end of March. <strong>Brewery Bhavana<\/strong> is the brainchild of brother and sister <strong>Vansana<\/strong> and <strong>Vanvisa Nolintha<\/strong>, who also own the Laotian restaurant<strong> Bida Manda<\/strong> next door, and brewer <strong>Patrick Woodson<\/strong>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/brewerybhavana.com\/\">Get a sneak peek here<\/a><\/b><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Those that enjoy a good beer with a nice view of downtown Raleigh will be excited to learn that both the website <strong>southwestraleigh.com<\/strong> and <strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported this week that we are not far from the re-opening of the <strong>Boylan Bridge Brewpub<\/strong>, which closed about a year ago due to a collapsed support wall. According to <strong>WRAL<\/strong>, they will open sometime this Spring, just in time for the warm weather. Garner will get its first <strong>Chipotle<\/strong> in <strong>White Oak Plaza<\/strong> (68 Eagle Wing Way, Garner) and it opens today (<strong>March 17<\/strong>). Fuquay-Varina\u2019s <strong>Chipotle<\/strong> will open Thursday, <strong>April 27<\/strong> at the corner of Main Street and Hwy 401 (1385 N. The first (of 5 I think) new eateries has set an open date. Signs for <strong>Chipotle<\/strong> went up this week and they expect to open Thursday, <strong>April 6<\/strong>. Shortly following that will be <strong>Chopt<\/strong>, which also has a location in Raleigh\u2019s <strong>Cameron Village<\/strong> (and rumored to have a second Raleigh location in the works). The restaurant is expected to open at the beginning of May. Their approach is a bit different, with a focus on a heartier, more balanced version of healthy food. Their larger goal is to help people broaden their definition of healthy eating, make it more approachable, and of course tasting great. Look for them to start rolling around the Triangle next week. Chapel Hill is holding their first food truck rodeo &#8211; <strong>Rodeo on Rosemary<\/strong>. <strong>Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation<\/strong> in collaboration with the <strong>Downtown Partnership and the Raleigh Durham Mobile Food Association<\/strong> (<strong>RDUMFA<\/strong>) will hold this milestone on <strong>March 26 from 12pm &#8211; 5pm<\/strong> on the block of Rosemary Street between Henderson and North Columbia Streets. The chefs participating in the series are: <strong>Ricky Moore (Saltbox), Billy Cotter (Dashi), Seth Gross (Pompieri\/Bull City Burger &amp; Brewery) <\/strong>and<strong> John May (Piedmont)<\/strong>. The series features a dinner every other month (beginning <strong>April 17<\/strong>, my birthday) featuring one of the distinguished chefs serving three or more courses.
