I\u2019m sure the sweet aroma of freshly baked bread is already filling the air in downtown Cary! I reached out to them last week via Facebook and didn\u2019t learn much other than they are \u201cstill coming\u201d &#8211; but no hint as to a timeline. Best thing I can tell you is to follow them for any <b><a =\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Wahlburgers-Raleigh-108609189599399\/\">updates on their Facebook page here<\/a><\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word, saw signs and it was confirmed by the lovely and talented <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Lori Lennard<\/strong><\/span> that the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Dunkin\u2019 Donuts<\/strong><\/span> on East Franklin Street in Chapel Hill is now open. It is located next to the Siena Hotel. And in true Chapel Hill fashion, it is without a drive-thru. <b><a =\"https:\/\/www.dunkindonuts.com\/en\">Check them out here<\/a><\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And just down from that in <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Eastgate Crossing<\/strong><\/span> things continue to progress. I poked my head in yesterday and not only is the outdoor dining\/drinking space incredibly welcoming, the inside is equally stunning. Got word this week that the owner of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Benetis Athena Restaurant<\/strong><\/span>, located in <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Greenwood Commons shopping center<\/strong><\/span> in Durham, has allowed their waitstaff to open a Mexican pop-up restaurant during the evening hours. They make their own corn and flour tortillas and everything is local and freshly prepared. Tortas, fajitas, tacos, burritos and other items. Mediterranean and Greek for breakfast and lunch, Mexican for dinner! <b><a =\"http:\/\/www.benetisrtp.com\/\">Check them out here<\/a><\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The latest <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Chick-fil-A<\/strong><\/span> opened in Durham yesterday (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>June 15<\/strong><\/span>) in the former location of <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Spartacus<\/strong> <\/span>restaurant. This new location replaces the drive-up only store that was located just behind the new location on University Drive. The site suggests there is a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Sunset Lake Bistro<\/strong><\/span> coming in August. Stay tuned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And just learned from a reader that the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Serena&#8217;s<\/strong> <\/span>location on Creedmoor Road in Raleigh has closed. They still have a location in RTP, and their site suggests a new location coming soon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Food Trucks<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0The <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Triangle Explorer<\/strong><\/span> (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>John Huisman<\/strong><\/span>) recently told us about the newest food truck (it is actually a trailer) to hit the streets of the Triangle &#8211; <strong>Waffles &amp; Kahve<\/strong>. They serve up sweet and savory Turkish waffles and a smooth, rich Turkish coffee to go with. Sign me up! <b><a =\"http:\/\/wafflesandkahve.com\/\">Check them out here<\/a><\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A dozen food trucks will join the regular <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Holly Springs Farmers Market<\/strong><\/span> June 24 for the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Park It in the Market Food Truck Rodeo<\/strong><\/span>. The rodeo is 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. across the street from Holly Springs Town Hall, 128 S. Main St., in the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>East Center Street Public Parking Lot<\/strong><\/span>. (The market starts at 8:30 a.m.) There also will be live music and children\u2019s activities. Head to Academy Street between Chatham Street and Dry Avenue and the new Downtown Park. The Cary rodeo features <strong>30 trucks<\/strong>, beer and wine vendors along with live music and seating areas. Trust me!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Food Bank Corner<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Nearly 300,000 children in the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Food Bank&#8217;s<\/strong> <\/span>34 counties rely on the free and reduced-cost meals at school to get them through the day. For them, summertime doesn&#8217;t mean a fun-filled vacation. For them, no school means no meals. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Stop Summer Hunger<\/strong><\/span> is the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Food Bank&#8217;<\/strong>s<\/span> annual initiative to provide additional food to feed these children and their families during this season of increased need. For example: A donation of $35 will feed a child for two months; A donation of $75 will feed a family of four for one month; and a donation of $150 will feed a family of four for two months.
