Located on the ground floor of <strong>Liberty Warehouse Apartments<\/strong> at 530 Foster Street, this one is not too far from their original Durham location on Main Street. They also have a location in Cary as well as in Greensboro. \u00a0If you haven\u2019t already done so, <a href=\"http:\/\/dameschickenwaffles.com\/web\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>get familiar with Dame&#8217;s here<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Got word from <strong>JMR Kitchens Restaurant Group<\/strong> owners <strong>Justin <\/strong>and<strong> Ryan Riek<\/strong> that their Medlin Drive location of<strong> Taste<\/strong> has changed to Tuesday through Sunday dinner service until January 27th &#8211; at which time that location will close. That\u2019s the bad news. The great news is they have opened another <strong>Taste<\/strong> location (Five Points) at 1912 Bernard St in the <strong>Highpark Shopping Center<\/strong> off Whitaker Mill. In addition to dinner service (same menu as Medlin location) seven days a week, they also run coffee\/brunch service from 7a to 1p Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday Brunch from 10a to 2p. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jmrkitchens.com\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>Check out all their restaurants here<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Coleen Speaks<\/strong>, who recently launched the event venue <strong>Whitaker &amp; Atlantic<\/strong>, has opened a cocktail bar and caf\u00e9 called <strong>Hummingbird<\/strong> in the adjacent space. Located at <strong>Dock 1053<\/strong>, at the corner of Whitaker Mill and Atlantic Ave., it is open Monday through Saturday from 8am until midnight. <a href=\"http:\/\/hummingbirdraleigh.com\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>Check it out here<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The on-again, off-again story of <strong>Boylan Bridge Brewpub<\/strong> continues with <strong>WRAL<\/strong> reporting that is has closed again, but just temporarily. The restaurant reopened in May after being closed for more than a year after a wall collapsed. A drop-off in business, attributed to street closures due to the construction of the multi-use development <strong>The Dillon,<\/strong> led to the most recent closure. Look for it to reopen early next year. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wral.com\/boylan-bridge-brewpub-closes-owner-plans-reboot\/17127929\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>Read the full article here<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>ITB Insider<\/strong> reported that permits have been issued for <strong>Kaiju Bowl &amp; Bao<\/strong>, the latest offering from <strong>Ken Yowell<\/strong> who also owns the <strong>Oak City Meatball Shop<\/strong> and <strong>Calavera Empanadas and Tequila<\/strong>. The new restaurant, located at 170 East Davie Street in the former home of <strong>Dickey\u2019s BBQ<\/strong>, will offer a kind of \u201cAsian chicken wing.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/kaijubnb\/?ref=py_c\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>Keep up with their progress on their Facebook page here<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in downtown Raleigh, it was announced this week that <strong>Barcelona Wine Bar<\/strong>, a wine and tapas restaurant inspired by the culture of Spain, will be opening at <strong>The Dillon<\/strong> in the <strong>Warehouse District<\/strong> at 223 W. South Street. They currently have locations throughout Connecticut and in Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Nashville, Reston Virginia and Washington DC.<strong> The Dillon<\/strong> location will be their first restaurant in the Raleigh market. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barcelonawinebar.com\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>Get familiar with them here<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In North Raleigh, reader <strong>Rebecca Calhoun<\/strong> notified us that the <strong>Nothing Bundt Cakes<\/strong> location at <strong>Falls Village<\/strong> (6643 Falls of Neuse Rd.) opened yesterday, and they have opening events schedule for today (December 1) and tomorrow. <b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nothingbundtcakes.com\/bakery\/nc\/raleigh-north\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check out their website for all the details<\/span><\/a>.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in <strong>Falls Village<\/strong>, the<strong> ITB Insider<\/strong> reported that a wine and craft beer shop with a taproom called <strong>Falls Village Wine &amp; Beer<\/strong> opened its doors for the first time last week. So now bundt cakes and beer. What else could North Raleigh possibly need? Not much on their website yet, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/fallsvillagewineandbeer\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>get the latest on their Facebook page here<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Just a little bit further north in <strong>LaFayette Village<\/strong>, owner <strong>Michael Bongiorno<\/strong> informed us that <strong>Zanyu Asian Noodles<\/strong> is now open with a limited pre-opening menu and they are adding dishes by the day! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/zanyunoodles\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>Check out their Facebook page to get all the details<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Reader <strong>Hugh Autry<\/strong> notified us that <strong>La Roca Mexican Grill<\/strong> has opened in Raleigh at the <strong>Garner Station<\/strong> shopping center at 1431 Garner Station Blvd. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LaRocaMexicanGrill\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>Check them out on Facebook here<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Over in Cary, <strong>Autry<\/strong> also noticed that there is a <strong>Buffalo Brothers<\/strong> moving into the former <strong>Outback<\/strong> location at <strong>Saltbox Village<\/strong> on Kildaire Farm Road.<strong> Buffalo Brothers<\/strong> already has locations in Raleigh, Garner and Wake Forest. We lost a truly great man. You no longer have to drive to Durham for your holiday stollen! Eleven decorated trucks will be there donating proceeds to <strong>Meals on Wheels of Wake County<\/strong>. <strong>Meals on Wheels of Wake County<\/strong> will be there to share information about their programs (donate, sign up and\/or volunteer).
