Impress your co-workers at the water cooler.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Featured Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0We got word this week that <strong>L&#8217;uva Enoteca<\/strong>, a rustic Italian kitchen in downtown Durham&#8217;s <strong>American Tobacco complex<\/strong>, has closed as they are relocating to a larger space. <strong>L&#8217;uva<\/strong> is the sister restaurant to <strong>Revolution<\/strong>, which is honoring all <strong>L&#8217;uva<\/strong> promotions and gift cards until they reopen. No word yet on where they are moving to. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.luvaenoteca.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Keep an eye on it here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0We got the opening date this week from the folks over at <strong>The OAKZ<\/strong> restaurant on Glenwood South in Raleigh. The restaurant, which features American cuisine and is family owned and operated by <strong>Ira Freedman<\/strong> and <strong>Jaclyn Starritt<\/strong>, will swing open their doors to the general public beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, <strong>January 31<\/strong> (dinner) and Saturday, <strong>February 1<\/strong> (lunch and dinner). <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theoakz.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>It was announced this week that North Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Jubala Coffee<\/strong> will open a specialty caf\u00e9 when <strong>HQ Raleigh<\/strong> moves to its new location in downtown Raleigh&#8217;s warehouse district. <strong>HQ Raleigh<\/strong>, an entrepreneurial incubator space, currently resides at 711 Hillsborough Street but will move to 310 S. Harrington Street in the coming months. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/hqraleigh.com\/specialty-cafe-experience-at-the-new-hq\/?utm_content=buffer8be55&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter.com&amp;utm_campaign=buffer\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Get all the details on the new partnership here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Triangle Business Journal<\/strong> was the first to report this week that <strong>T<\/strong><strong>aco Mac Sports Grill<\/strong> of Atlanta will open its first location in the region at Cary&#8217;s <strong>Waverly Place<\/strong>. <strong>Taco Mac<\/strong> is known for their wings, burgers, tacos and craft beer and is expected to open this summer. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tacomac.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Get a sneak peek at them here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in Cary, my friend <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/timmoorespeaks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Tim Moore<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong> noticed that the old <strong>Circus Restaurant<\/strong> on East Chatham Street is being converted into a <strong>Subway<\/strong>. He noted that the sign is already up and appears to be days away from opening&#8230;but then again, this is Cary. We&#8217;ll keep an eye on it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Thanks to a tip from long-time friend <strong>Julie Liddle<\/strong>, <strong>Uncorked<\/strong>, a caf\u00e9 and wine shop in North Raleigh, has been sold. Apparently they will be closed for a couple of weeks before reopening under new owners. We&#8217;ll keep an eye on it. Thanks <strong>Julie<\/strong>! <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncorkednc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Keep up with them here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Also in North Raleigh, got word from <strong>John Huisman<\/strong> (aka <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/triangleexplorer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Triangle Explorer<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>) that a new Mexican restaurant called <strong>El Tapatio<\/strong> is in the works in <strong>Wakefield<\/strong> next to <strong>Sergio&#8217;s Pizza<\/strong>. We&#8217;ll keep an eye on it for an opening date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>And if you couldn&#8217;t get enough of <strong>Triangle Restaurant Week<\/strong>, then you&#8217;ll want to head on over to <strong>Bolt Bistro<\/strong> in downtown Raleigh as they are extending their $30 three course dinner deal for another week (January 28th through February 1st). <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boltbistro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check out Bolt Bistro here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham County Restaurant News<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0For those who were eagerly anticipating the Valentine&#8217;s Day opening of <strong>Caf\u00e9 Love<\/strong> over in Durham, we are about to break your heart. Due to details too complicated to go into here (<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.icontact-archive.com\/S0pZqnVS3YT9K5dw93al_YxkWby0FI29?w=2\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">but are detailed here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>), they are foregoing their plans to open the caf\u00e9. However, they will continue to focus on making the food they sell through their truck and different retail outlets throughout the Triangle. They will also do pop-up dinners and hold classes. So just a temporary blip in their plans, but still going strong.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Herald Sun<\/strong> is reporting that a pizza shop called <strong>Papa Nizio&#8217;s Pizza, Wings and Subs<\/strong> has opened in place of <strong>Big Cheese Pizza<\/strong> at 3405 Hillsborough Road in Durham. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.papanizios.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" shape=\"rect\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Herald Sun<\/strong> also reported this week that the <strong>Copa Vida Coffee<\/strong> has opened at the <strong>Southpoint Crossing shopping center<\/strong> at the corner of Fayetteville Road and N.C. 54 in the former <strong>Starbucks<\/strong> location. Additionally, this edition will feature a hill full of snow for sledding thanks to the folks over at Durham Parks &amp; Recreation.
