Food Hall<\/strong>. <strong>Clarke Merrell<\/strong> and his wife <strong>Liza<\/strong> have ties to the Triangle and have been bringing their truck here for years. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedankburrito.com\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>Get familiar with Dank here<\/b><\/span><\/a>. Food Hall here<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The folks over at <strong>Local Icon Hospitality<\/strong> shared this week that they have brought on a new executive chef, <strong>Adrian Black<\/strong>, to oversee <strong>Virgil&#8217;s Original Taqueria<\/strong>, <strong>Linus &amp; Pepper&#8217;s Gourmet Sandwiches<\/strong>, <strong>Local Icon Catering<\/strong> and, their newest project, <strong>The Merchant NC<\/strong>. The Merchant will be a speakeasy cocktail bar with a sophisticated bar food program occupying 3,000 square feet in downtown Raleigh. Entry will occur through a\u00a0\u2018secret\u2019 vintage walk-in cooler door. Prior to this <strong>Black<\/strong> was with chef <strong>Steven Greene<\/strong> at <strong>Herons at the Umstead Hotel<\/strong> and prior to that with renowned chef\/restauranteur <strong>Rick Bayless<\/strong> at <strong>Frontera Grill<\/strong> and <strong>XOCO<\/strong> in Chicago. <a href=\"http:\/\/thelocalicon.com\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>Check out all of Local Icon&#8217;s concepts here<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>ITB Insider<\/strong> shared this week that <strong>Heirloom Brewshop<\/strong> secured their permits recently and should be opening in the next few weeks. Located in <strong>The Dillon<\/strong> at 219 S. They are now serving <strong>Sunday Brunch<\/strong> (beginning this <strong>Sunday &#8211; Sept. 9<\/strong>). Service runs from 10 am to 2 pm, with outdoor seating available. Well, sort of, according to reader <strong>Jennifer Soloman<\/strong> who shared with us that chef <strong>Aaron Vandermark<\/strong> at <strong>Pancuito<\/strong> has created a wonderful outdoor space\/restaurant called <strong>Kimchi Yay<\/strong> (inside remains <strong>Aaron\u2019s<\/strong> regular\/great offerings). <a href=\"http:\/\/www.panciuto.com\/the-restaurant\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><b>Get by and check it out<\/b><\/span><\/a>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Over in Durham, last month we told you about the \u201cpop-up\u201d restaurants that are now popping up at 359 Blackwell Street &#8211; last month it was <strong>Caballo Rojo Coffee<\/strong>. Well, <strong>Amber Watson<\/strong> over at <strong>Bites of Bull City<\/strong> informed us that this month that space will house <strong>Boricua Soul<\/strong>, a local food truck favorite.
