Blogger <strong>EatRaleigh<\/strong> informed us that the wood-fired bagel and coffee shop from the folks at <strong>Boulted Bread<\/strong> and <strong>Jubala Coffee<\/strong> is set to open today, <strong>February 1<\/strong>, at Raleigh&#8217;s newest food hall. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.transfercofoodhall.com\/vendors\/benchwarmers-bagels\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get familiar with them here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Saw online that <strong>Oak City Fish and Chips<\/strong> is holding their grand opening for their second location this <strong>Saturday, February 2nd<\/strong>. The second location is in <strong>Farmington Square<\/strong> at 2822 New Birch Drive in Raleigh. They also have a location inside the <strong>Morgan Street Food Hall<\/strong> as well as 3 mobile units traveling all over the Triangle. Built in 1915, the building at 428 S. McDowell Street is now undergoing a nearly $400k renovation. The new owner is renovating the restaurant and the menu and food is very different. Peking originally opened in 1990. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pekinggardenraleigh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Visit them here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Got word from my high school buddy (and award-winning dentist) <strong>Dana McCall<\/strong> that <strong>Cava<\/strong> is opening soon in the old <strong>Bob Evans<\/strong> location at <strong>Crossroads<\/strong> over in Cary. <strong>Cava<\/strong> just opened in Chapel Hill and has plans for stores in Raleigh. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/cava.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get to know them here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Also in Cary, got word from <strong>WRAL<\/strong> this week that <strong>Dean\u2019s Kitchen and Bar<\/strong> has completed the transition into <strong>Der Biergarten<\/strong>. Look for it to replicate a \u201ctypical\u201d German establishment where beer and local food are served, typically at shared tables, surrounded with games for entertainment. Well, things progressed a little quicker than anticipated and reader <strong>Lisa Galanis<\/strong> notified us that they have already closed up shop. Not sure what that does to the timeline for <strong>Uncle Julio\u2019s<\/strong> to fill that spot.
