They will reopen <strong>tomorrow<\/strong> from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. to host the Glenwood South <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stbaldricks.org\/events\/mypage\/115\/2014\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">St. Baldrick&#8217;s Event<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>. They will then close until March 4 when they will reopen for dinner, with a limited menu, and will be open from 4 p.m. until closing. They will have that schedule until March 6. Look for a late summer opening. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tavernaagora.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Get more details here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tazza Kitchen<\/strong>, described as Baja meets Mediterranean, opened its doors this week in <strong>Cameron Village<\/strong> in the spot formerly occupied by <strong>Cafe Caturra<\/strong>. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tazzakitchen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>John Huisman<\/strong>, aka <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/triangleexplorer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Triangle Explorer<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>, sent word this week that <strong>Driftwood Southern Kitchen<\/strong> in <strong>Lafayette Village<\/strong> was holding a soft opening this past Wednesday and was slated to open to the public toward the end of this week. We haven&#8217;t gotten final confirmation that they are open, but it is any day now. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.driftwoodraleigh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Visit them here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> updated us today that the next location of <strong>Another Broken Egg Caf\u00e9<\/strong> will open on Monday in North Hills (i.e. the Harris Teeter side). <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anotherbrokenegg.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Toast Cafe<\/strong>, a Charlotte franchise that serves breakfast, brunch and lunch, is expected to open at Cary&#8217;s <strong>Waverly Place<\/strong> by early June according to the <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong>. This marks <strong>Peace China&#8217;s<\/strong> second location. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.peacechinanc.com\/about-2\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Check them out here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Saw on <strong>WRAL&#8217;s\u00a0Monica\u00a0Laliberte&#8217;s<\/strong> Facebook page that a new <strong>Waffle House<\/strong> has opened in Raleigh&#8217;s <strong>Mission Valley<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham County Restaurant News<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> noted this week that <strong>Ed Mitchell&#8217;s Que<\/strong> will swing open their doors on <strong>April 1<\/strong> (no foolin&#8217;) just in time for the Durham Bulls&#8217; season which starts on April 3rd. <strong>Que<\/strong> will be located in the <strong>Diamond View III<\/strong> building. <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/The-Pitmaster-ED-Mitchell\/104706286282872\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Get more details here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Pizza is coming (back) to <strong>Hope Valley Commons<\/strong> shopping center in Durham, hopefully by the end of April if all goes as planned. <strong>Peter Turner<\/strong> (a <strong>Dunkin Donuts<\/strong> franchisee) and <strong>Alan Tyndall<\/strong> (a former <strong>Domino&#8217;s Pizza<\/strong> franchisee) are planning to open the independently owned pizza eatery called <strong>Aunt Serafina&#8217;s Pizza.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Last week we told you that the <strong>Dairy Queen<\/strong> and <strong>Orange Julius<\/strong> location by the carousel at <strong>Northgate Mall<\/strong> had closed. In fact it has. But the <strong>Herald Sun<\/strong> is reporting this week that the parent company is signing with a new franchisee and should reopen in the same location within 60 days!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Herald Sun<\/strong> is also reporting that work is underway to transform a former T<strong>aco Bell<\/strong> restaurant on Shannon Road (which closed last year) into a new Durham location of <strong>Cook-Out Restaurant<\/strong>. The next one will be at least a month after <strong>The Lucky<\/strong>.
