Impress your co-workers at the water cooler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Featured Restaurant News<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>&nbsp;Up in North Raleigh, the much-anticipated <strong>Cape Fear Seafood Company<\/strong> (CFSC) announced they will open their first location outside the Wilmington area next <strong>Monday, June 17<\/strong> at 832 Spring Forest Road, the former <strong>Kamado Grill\/Lucky 32<\/strong> spot. This will be the fourth location for the company, and the first franchise location. This week they are hosting four reservation-only charity events. The events are open to the public and will benefit The First Tee of the Triangle, Habitat for Humanity, Make a Wish and The Trawick Pediatric Cardiology Fund at Duke Children\u2019s Hospital. Fifty percent of sales will be donated to the designated charity partners. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/CFSCNorthRaleigh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Keep up with them on their Facebook page here<\/a>.  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Wake County Restaurant News<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Ashton Mae Smith<\/strong> shared the news this week that <strong>One Glenwood<\/strong> would become the home to Australian-based <strong>Zambero<\/strong>, a Mexican restaurant concept that also donates a meal to someone in need from disadvantaged communities across Africa, Asia and the Americas. This will be just their third location in the United States. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zambrero.com\/locations\/one-glenwood\" target=\"_blank\">Get familiar with our new mates here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>This past Wednesday saw the opening of <strong>Wye Hill Kitchen &amp; Brewing<\/strong> which completely revamped the former <strong>Boylan Bridge Brewpub<\/strong> space that is home to the \u201cbest view of Raleigh\u2019s skyline.\u201d <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wyehill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get to know them here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The folks over at <strong>ITB Insider<\/strong> shared the news that a new two-story restaurant and bar called the <strong>Yacht Club<\/strong> is coming to the former home of <strong>Office Tavern<\/strong> at 710 W. Johnson. Not much other detail has been provided yet, nor could we find an online presence. One can only assume the menu would have a seafood bend. Stay tuned!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Also in downtown Raleigh, don\u2019t think we ever completed our reporting that <strong>Slice Pie Company<\/strong>, home of the State Fair blue ribbon pie, and <strong>Sweet Water New York Ice Co.<\/strong> are open in a \u201cpop-up\u201d location at 17 E. Martin Street through September. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.slicepiecompany.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Visit Slice Pie here<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sweetwaterices.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sweet Water here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>And one last bit of downtown Raleigh news, <strong>WTVD<\/strong> shared this week that <strong>Budacai<\/strong> (Boba Bar Bites), a new tea bar and restaurant featuring Asian fusion dishes and teas of all sorts, has opened in the former <strong>Provenance<\/strong> space at 120 E. Martin Street. They are open Monday-Thursday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/budacairaleighnc\/\" target=\"_blank\">Visit their Facebook page here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The folks over at <strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported that the much-anticipated <strong>Stir<\/strong> will open <strong>June 17th<\/strong> in <strong>North Hills<\/strong>. The restaurant, which will be located next to <strong>The Capital Grille<\/strong>, will feature premium oysters along with made-from-scratch entrees and cocktails made with artisanal ice. The house oyster will be a local North Carolina selection and the restaurant is working with purveyors including <strong>Sweet Pea Urban Gardener<\/strong> for microgreens and <strong>Raleigh City Farm<\/strong>. This will be<strong> Stir\u2019s<\/strong> second location, the flagship location is in Chattanooga. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stirraleigh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get familiar with them here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>And if that is not enough exciting news next week from <strong>North Hills<\/strong>, <strong>WRAL<\/strong> let us know that <strong>Mason\u2019s Famous Lobster Rolls<\/strong> will hold a grand opening on <strong>June 19<\/strong> where attendees will get a chance to win free lobster for a year. Everything begins at 11 a.m. This is their eighth location, the first in North Carolina. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.masonslobster.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check them out here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>WRAL<\/strong> also shared the news this week that a new taqueria concept called <strong>Chido Taco<\/strong> is coming into the <strong>McNeil Pointe<\/strong> development at the intersection of McNeil Street and Wake Forest Road (across from <strong>Mami Nora\u2019s<\/strong>). It is a Mercado style fast-casual taqueria and bar set to open later this month or July. If your Spanish is a little weak, <strong>Chido<\/strong> is slang for cool. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chidotaco.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get familiar with them here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Durham, Orange &amp; Chatham Restaurant News<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Tim Coynesmith<\/strong> was not the only one excited to learn the news this week that the former <strong>Tyler\u2019s<\/strong> location at <strong>American Tobacco Campus<\/strong> will soon be filled with beer again. The <strong>News &amp; Observer<\/strong> shared the news that a pop-up beer garden will spend the summer in the outdoor space formerly known as <strong>Tyler\u2019s<\/strong>, bringing a handful of Rocky Mount breweries to the Bull City. The beer garden, led by <strong>HopFly Brewing Co.<\/strong>, will feature some of the breweries currently operating out of the Rocky Mount Mills development. <strong>HopFly<\/strong> be joined by <strong>Tarboro Brewing Co.<\/strong>, <strong>Koi Pong Brewing<\/strong> and <strong>BDD Brewing<\/strong>. The beer garden will open Friday, June 21, and initially will be open Thursday and Fridays from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 to 9 p.m. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/americantobaccocampus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Visit the American Tobacco campus website here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Speaking of pop-ups at <strong>American Tobacco<\/strong>, local food truck, <strong>Oak City Fish and Chips<\/strong> will be the \u00a0new tenant at <strong>Pop Up at American Tobacco<\/strong> through June 27th. Find them during lunch 11am-2pm, Monday through Friday. Perhaps this is Oak City testing the waters in Durham&#8230;Bull City Fish and Chips has a nice ring to it! <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/popupdurham.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Get to know them here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Amber Watson<\/strong> over <strong>Bites of Bull City<\/strong> shared that a new coffee shop is coming soon to 721 Broad Street in Durham. <strong>Cloche Coffee<\/strong> is set to open in August. Not much to see just yet, but visit and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/clochecoffee\/\" target=\"_blank\">keep up with them on Instagram here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>And last week we shared the news that <strong>Michael DePersia<\/strong> of <strong>National Restaurant Properties<\/strong> had sold the <strong>Bagel Bar<\/strong> in downtown Durham (across the street from City Hall) to <strong>Doel Gonzalez<\/strong>, owner of<strong> Spanglish<\/strong> food truck and the restaurant <strong>Pressed<\/strong> in north Raleigh. This week he successfully sold the Chapel Hill location of the <strong>Bagel Bar<\/strong> to <strong>Sam Suchoff<\/strong>, owner of <strong>The Pig<\/strong> (in the same development). Stay tuned to see what he does with his newest purchase. They had just opened back in April. Can we have <strong>Kaiju Bowl and Bao<\/strong> back?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>And speaking of short-timers, after just under a year, Chapel Hill\u2019s <strong>MidiCi<\/strong> location at the corner of Columbia and Franklin streets closed quietly.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Over in Apex, <strong>WRAL<\/strong> reported that a bankruptcy judge ordered <strong>Peak City Grill &amp; Bar<\/strong> (owned by <strong>Peak Hospitality Group LLC<\/strong>) to close immediately.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Derek Medlin<\/strong> shared the news that Hillsborough Street\u2019s <strong>Smashed Waffles<\/strong> was no more. They opened in January\/February 2018.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Just a reminder that <strong>Jason Smith\u2019s s 18 Seaboard<\/strong> will end a 14 year run on July 2 &#8211; but good luck reserving a \u201cfarewell\u201d lunch or dinner. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.18restaurantgroup.com\/18-seaboard\">Here is their website<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Food Trucks&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Got word from Wake Forest that the next <strong>Wake Forest Food Truck Rodeo<\/strong> will take place on <strong>Sunday, June 30th<\/strong> from 12 &#8211; 4 pm at 405 S. Brooks St. in downtown Wake Forest! The event is sanctioned by the <strong>Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS)<\/strong>, the nation&#8217;s leading BBQ sanctioning body.
