  • Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay is making its landing at North Carolina’s Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). It is expected to open at the end of 2024, offering the “The Ultimate Burger Experience”, as folks travel in and out of our area. Might be worth planning a trip just to get to eat there. Wake County Restaurant News

  • Triangle Business Journal shared the news this week that Bocteco Do Brazil is opening in the former Catalan Tapas Bar space at 4214 NW Cary Parkway near La Farm Bakery. The restaurant is slated to open in February. Bocteco Do Brazil is aiming to bring authentic Brazilian cuisine to the area, owner Beth Andrade said.   • RalToday reported this week that Creamed, the very first cereal-Infused Ice Cream Bar in the Raleigh-Durham area – where you mix, match, and experience these sweet and nostalgic flavors yourself – is now open. They are located on the lower level of Crabtree Valley Mall. Visit them here.
  • Reader Chris Creighton shared the news this week that the Peach Cobbler Factory is coming to Apex and will be located at 1071 Pine Plaza Drive. No word on opening date. Start getting familiar with them here.
  • Reader Katie Paige shared with us that Poblano’s on New Falls of Neuse in Wakefield is finally open! No liquor yet, but they are open!
  • And one final reminder thanks to our friends over at RalTodayFiction Kitchen’s last day at their current location on South Dawson Street is Saturday, Nov. 25. Take your last few bites at this plant-based restaurant’s downtown location before they move to Gateway Plaza. Berkeley Cafe will open in its place soon after. Follow Fiction Kitchen here.

Durham, Orange & Chatham Restaurant News

  • The Mebane Enterprise reported this week that The Wooden Nickel’s long-awaited opening of their second location has finally happened. Late last week, the popular Hillsborough restaurant opened for lunch, and operated full business hours through the weekend. The Wooden Nickel is at 109 W. Clay Street. Visit them here.
  • And in Pittsboro, saw on the Pittsboro Eats! Facebook page a post sharing that a concept called Ni Armor’s, featuring Hawaiian Polynesian BBQ, is coming to the corner of 64 and 87 across from Al’s Burgers and in the same building as the car wash. They also have a location in Burlington. No word yet on exactly when they will open. Visit them on Facebook here.

  • WRAL shared that December 2nd is Brunch with Santa, where kids of old and young can meet Santa at the Durham Food Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take photos with Santa, play reindeer games, enjoy festive face painting, and grab some brunch and lunch from the vendors throughout the hall.
